Talking clock
For a person with visual limitations, this clock is perfect. We have 3 throughout our home; and I may purchase 2 more for the shop and garage. Our home is once again peaceful and quiet… no more continuous yelling, “What time is it”?

No Decipherable Directions
Neither I nor anyone I asked to help me can figure out how to put this together and operate it, which is astounding, since it is so small. Too bad, because the design is perfect for hitting when you just want to know what time it is. That is why I got it.

Very disappointing
My sister is deaf in one ear and sleeps poorly because she’s afraid she will oversleep her alarm. I am always on the lookout for an alarm loud enough to wake her from a deep sleep. I was seduced by this part of the manufacturer’s description: “VOLUME CONTROL - Our Talking Button Clock comes with a volume control wheel. This is extremely useful for elderly living with hearing loss as it allows for a louder volume if neccessary.” I was sorely disappointed.First, there is no volume control wheel. There is simply a small switch that allows you to move between High and Low. Whoever thought this would be loud enough for someone with hearing loss must have the most sensitive hearing imaginable. Even set on high this is not loud enough for me (as an alarm), with normal hearing, let alone someone with a hearing impairment. Pushing the buttons on my microwave oven to set a time is louder than this. The little song my ‘whisper quiet’ dishwasher makes to let me know the cycle is finished is louder than this. The chime my dryer makes…you get the idea. This is not appropriate for someone with hearing loss. That aside, the voice that states the time, etc. is pleasant. There are no instructions included with the clock and I’m not sure it would be particularly intuitive for someone not experienced with this type of a device to figure out. If I had chosen this for my elderly aunt I know I would have to set it up first so that all she had to do would be to press the button. I think she would find it far less work to simply say “Alexa, what time/day/month is it? Or, Alexa, remind me to take my pills at eight am.” I think you can find a better investment for your $25.

Helpful
I like the design of the button. Simple and easy to use and tells the date, time. Says it loud and clear and it's easy to hear and push. Button is light and easy to see. Sits nicely on the counter or by a bedside. It's a nice size and blue in color and looks helpful for the elderly, people with memory or hearing problems or anyone who wants to easily know the day, date or time.

Date and Time
I love this item. Somedays I can't remember the date and all I have to do is push the button and it gives me the date and time.. this item is a must if a person tends to forget the date often like myself.. I highly recommend it

Pleasant male voice.
I ordered this to replace one that was difficult to program. I made a mistake with the old one and accidentally set an alarm and an hourly alert. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, and neither could my blind household members. It was a relief that this one was super simple to do. Tap the large top button to scroll through the times, the bottom "set" button to scroll through the menu options. Time is read first, and if you tap it again, the date is read. It's 10x larger than the previous device we had, which was on a keychain. It used to be difficult to locate, but this will never have that problem. It runs on three AAA batteries. We're using alkaline and will update this review when it dies so you know how long it lasts. The reason I didn't get the red is because it looks too much like the "Easy" button, if you know what I mean. I don't want to think, "I know!" every time I see it. The blue is aesthetically pleasing, but I'd prefer black or white. It really doesn't fit in with anything the color it is now.The male voice is pleasant, much more so than what we had before.Bottom line: Would I order again? Yes. Would I gift? Yes.
