Great potential TERRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS!!!
Extremely badly written instructions, and with no help when your phone/device lose connection... This device has a lot more going for it than the cheap £12-25 generic devices that don't have any phone data connected... so this is a level above those, but the instructions make it a bit of a nightmare to deal with.

Pure junk
Looks good, and that's it for the positives.Completely impossible to set up, as couldn't pair with phone.Instructions are jaw droppingly bad. I'm going to suggest they started off in Chinese, then translated to several other languages before being "translated" into English. So, off it goes back to Amazon.

Helps to be knowledgable about cost of individual appliances energy use
There are all sorts of helpful advice out there offering ways to cut back on power usage. These monitors help you test these suggestions and keep an eye on the specific costs of individual appliances. As we have differing night and day tariffs these are particularly useful for us but can also be used when only have one tariff price.Initial set up does require a careful work through of the instructions. Need a bit of patience. For those who need the info one thing it doesn’t say is ‘how’ to ‘reset’. This is using the small metal tool included. Use the pointed end on the small red dot under the word reset. (There are 2 of these tools included so one of the monitors can be passed onto someone else if you want to gift one). Also don’t get confused about doing something about batteries. This model has these ‘built in’ so don’t have to do anything here.Easier to use at eye height or need to get down to have a look. In a double socket it can impinge on space depending on the shape of the other plug. However these are minor considerations when monitoring and saving on bills. It gives a sense of control over costs, well some and help make decisions about usage and whether some appliances may benefit from being updated. Like never before my family have become conscious of energy using our night time tariff as much as we can. Hope this might help you save even if you only have a single tariff.

Useful for checking power usage of appliances
With the cost of energy having risen in recent times I decided to order these energy monitors to be able to establish which electrical items in our home are costing the most to run. The instructions which were supplied with these monitors are not in my opinion particularly clear. I initially spent a few minutes trying to locate a removable battery cover and tab which the instructions tell me to remove. I then realised that the monitors I received have built in rechargeable batteries and the cover and tab described in the instructions are not present. My only other criticism is that viewing the display when the monitor is low down plugged into a socket above a skirting board, I need to get right down to the same level for the LCD display to become clear enough to read. These monitors have quite an array of functions and monitoring options including a dual tariff function to enable the monitoring of two billing rates. The voltage, amperage and power consumption readings are very straightforward to access, as is the bar chart in the lower portion of the display which allows the user to see peaks in power consumption over a number of days. They seem to be accurate and well made and have certainly opened my eyes as far as establishing which electrical items are costing the most to run, allowing us to modify our usage and over time save energy and reduce the size of our bills.

Very useful energy tool
These are a very useful thing to have at the moment, it is very helpful to be able to check what certain appliances use in electricity. These plugs come in a set of two and have quite a lot of different features but I did find that the instructions provided could be better. The screen on the unit also is a bit dim and hard to read at times. As I said , very useful to have but some things could be improved.

The point escapes me a bit, but...
Two power monitoring devices, (perhaps) useful in these days of ever escalating energy bills. You will have to work out how to use them by yourself, as the enclosed instructions are the usual combination of unreadably small text and strangled Chinglish, but once you've sorted that out they can be set to different tariffs and work out the cost of how much the device you have plugged in costs. To be honest, however, I reckon if your not that great at tech you might find this setup process a bit challenging. I am, and I did. After that, though, the point kind of escapes me. Say you find your washing machine costs a fortune. Are you going to stop using it, or going to go out and spend 500 quid on a low-energy version? Neither, right?

Help saving money.
Photos shows example how much power my gaming computer takes. Mostly it is used as home office and working 14/24h so photo shows for daily usage I need to pay £1.11 for 14h that's not bad comparing for how long it is up. Second photo shows max power consumption of it. I got RM850x 850 Watt one inside so not even half of it. On heavy gaming power consumption will go up of course but that just simple shows how good that device is. I have found down switched off laptop plugged to power supply still takes ~0.8W, 40W when turned on. My dehumidifier takes 270W and so on. Checked all of my appliances with it. So I can deduct what take more energy when plugged in and when working. Because of that I know what to unplug when not used or if I need to buy other appliance with better energy rating. In these times when everything goes up every penny count. I'm on Price Cap (April 2022) electricity rate of £0.28 per kWh so till end of next year it will not change, after it will go up and I will be ready for it.
