Way stiffer/stronger. If you're running bigger then stock tires this is a much needed upgrade! Your putting 1 ton components on an SUV. Just be sure to check out some videos as you need to drill out the knuckles and pitman holes and as I used stock rims I needed to grind down part of the steering kit so it would not rub on them inside of the wheel.

Q: Why does it say no drilling if it requires the knuckles drilled?

You got me on that one. There was definitely drilling to be done in the knuckle and pitman.

Q: If i put this on my 1997 jeep grand cherokee with 4in lift will i still need to get the drop pitman arm it's only one inch longer than stock one?

I bought a pitman arm for 59 dollars & wasted my money. I then bought one for $79 i think. Its very heavy duty & works great. I think the stock one isnt good for a lifted jeep. Mine is 4 inches too. This steering kit took most the play out.
