Vetiver by Guerlain Eau De Toilette For Men, 100ml

I use this product as scent and have done so for many years. The smell is still good but the longevity not nearly as good as it was 15 years ago.

I bought this for my husband because he has always loved "Vetiver" and I am always looking out for a fragrance with a vetiver base-note and have bought plenty over the past 35 years none of which met his requirements. When I found this by Guerlain I thought that my search had come to an end. When the bottle arrived we eagerly opened it and sprayed a good spritz onto my husband's arm. "What do you think?" I asked him, he paused and then blurted out "old ashtrays!". Great, £32.00 for old cigarette butts. He wasn't impressed but said he would use it as I had bought it for him. He tried it again when we were going out for lunch with friends and when we greeted our them, my friend hugged him and said "mmmm you smell nice". So all was not lost. I think like many Guerlain fragrances it is to be appreciated and enjoyed in the drydown, not the original spritz. It is very woody and smoky, tobacco features heavily in the notes and the top burst of citrus gets a bit swallowed up at first. He wears it quite a lot now and agrees that it is a very good scent once it has settled down. In my opinion I like it on him very much, it suits the mature man, it is quite personal as once it drys down it stays close to the skin.

Everything as I expected.

Last summer, I took myself to Guildhall for the Noël Coward: Art & Style Exhibition. Marvellous it was too.I noted that Noël wore this fragrance, and as a long time admirer of his many and varied works, took it upon myself to buy a little piece of history in the hope that a modicum of his talent would rub off on this aging actor's bones. I've since booked a new show for the mouse channel, and a co-starring part in a popular US television show.So you know, there's definitely a link...probably...maybe.Anyway, it smells great.

I have previously bought this for my Significant Other from the airport shop when it was on offer and he was testing a few scents and we both loved its citrusy, herbal, aromatherapeutic, fresh, zesty smell. It's fresh but not in a boring disinfectant-like way, it has an exquisite sharp sweetness about it mixed in with cedar-like notes which really perk you up and make you feel good. I end up sniffing his neck just for the aromatherapeutic effects! He used that up and I didn't notice it in any shop for ages and I couldn't remember the name of the make though I remembered the name of the product so I did a search and found it was by Guerlain so I bought it for him again from Amazon this time and he was very pleased.

I blind bought this as I really like some other Guerlain scents. But I found this to be a very unpleasant smell, not at all what I was expecting. It is bitter and medicinal - to me it smells strongly of cloves mixed with insecticide. It’s very strong and last for hours. This is supposedly a classic from the 1960s and has many admirers, but I’m afraid I don’t get it. Each to their own.

Ótimo perfume. Projeção e fixação excelentes. Clássico.

Este perfume me trae recuerdos de un familiar que solía usarlo habitualmente, lo pedí sin pensar en que fuera el mismo, tiene un aroma muy elegante y serio, no empalaga y es bastante agradable, me gustó tanto que inmediatamente después de que lo probé compré otro!Simplemente excelente!

Uso Vertiver a mais de 20 anos.

FANTASTICO. Ottimo rapporto Quantità/Prezzo. Per gli amanti di questo profumo lo consiglio vivamente. Già acquistato in passato lo stesso prodotto. Inimitabile. Non c'è altro da aggiungere.

This Vetiver has remained a favorite toilet water of my husband's for many years. He is always happy when I give him this, no exception now in these covid days.
