I'm an electrical engineer and contractor. Meters are a way of life for me....This inexpensive meter is a workhorse!!!It's got a flashlight 🔦 contact less voltage ⚡️, clamp on Amp, true RMS, temperature, and the best part, you can measure in-rush!!!I've tested it to my very expensive Flukes and it's pretty darn close!!! So close that I only use this meter as my daily tester.I bought the first one last year, tested, used and abused it before deciding to buy one for my union apprentice Granddaughter to take to work.She loves it!Because my crew keeps asking to borrow it,,,Last week I bought another one to give as a prize for employee of the month.

I needed an amp clamp for diagnosing and repairing equipment our company uses. Getting multi-meter functionality with the amp clamp was a nice feature. While this may not have the accuracy of a Fluke product, it also doesn't come with the price tag. It is definitely accurate enough for my needs and has performed well so far. I've used it for amperage readings and voltage readings so far and it has performed exactly as expected.At this price, it's easy to buy more than one so you can have them in various locations. If you need a multi-meter and/or amp clamp, this is a great affordable option to consider.

Always wanted a clamp meter but didn't think I could afford a decent one. Documentation is good and easily understood. Compact and feels solid, easily held in smaller hands. Only used the flashlight and ncV functions so far, but worked well and seemed sensitive. Can't wait to use it on something important!

I've been using clamp-on meters for several decades, both in the military and in civilian applications. Some of those clamp-on meters cost several hundred dollars. This device is every bit as accurate and reliable as the more expensive ones I have used. I compared readings on this meter to the readings on my other (expensive) unit, and they were dead on. I also tested the non-contact voltage (NCV) tester function against a light switch that wasn't turned on, nor was the cover plate removed. The tester detected live voltage inside with no problems. NONE of the more expensive units I've used had the NCV function.You can't go wrong with this device.

It does the job and is easy to use. Don't expect the quality of a super expensive tester. It's a simple knock off, but it packs a lot of bang for your buck. I hardly ever need a good tester so spending hundreds or even thousands for a great tester was unreasonable to me. That's why electricians charge what they do. They need tools that will last and will go far beyond what this is capable of. When I get close to the edge of my knowledge, I'll hire someone. This will get me into the danger zone of being able to kill myself with a wrong move. I'll let someone that knows how to avoid death go that far. I plan on living long enough to enjoy what life has to offer. I'm no electrician and don't want to be either!

Works for the price your paying. I actually work with electricians who have the expensive clamp meters and it's only a few small differences with theirs and this one. Good for a starter, the meter bag is a plus with instructions and I love the style

I bought this multi-meter to do some DIY home electrical testing. I was able to diagnose an issue with a ceiling fan, so it already paid for itself in saving me an electrician. Solid and easy to use, nice design. Clamps it comes with are nice. Here are the only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars:-no way to test capacitors-VFC function is not well explained in manual, and I can't find much online about it-testing wires are a little unwieldy (could have holders or different connections to multi-meter that don't get in the way as easily)-no magnet on the backMost of these things are functions that more expensive meters have, so for the price, its a great value.

I cannot comment on how robust this item would be for a professional but for me as a homeowner it is perfect. I primarily purchased it to measure the current used by motors around the house so I can refrain from overloading circuits. I have a camper with a 13,500 btu rooftop a/c unit that I put a soft start system on. I am running the a/c when I do not have shore power with a 2200/1800 generator, I wanted to see how much current draw it was using along with 4 computers and monitors I use for viewing stations for an event based photography business. It works perfectly for my needs and at a very reasonable price.
