Android solution. I bought the cellular model to be able to make, receive phone calls and have internet access. I was disappointed to find out that even though It has a phone number, I could not use it as a phone or text with it. The only thing that works is cellular Internet. I had setup a google voice number on my cell phone a long time ago. It is free with a gmail account. If you don't have a google voice number, install google voice on your "CELL PHONE". Then run the app to select a google voice number. Once this is set up and working on your cell phone, install google voice on the tablet. Use the google voice number (in setup), you choose, while working with your cell phone. Don't involve the phone number of the tablet. It just gives you, your cellular internet connectivity. Now both devices have the same google voice phone number in the google voice app. Use the google voice app to make/receive phone calls or send/receive texts on tablet or cell phone. This is a free solution that works. The google voice app handles, what the cell provider is not handling with the tablet cell number. Google voice will use your contacts. Hope this helps anyone that has the same expectations I did.

I purchased it to replacement my in-vehicle navigation. It works better than I expected and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a voice programed and turn by turn guided driving, as well as Cell service and internet.

Do Not Buy this if you want to use it as a cellular phone with your SIM card from your provider. I Does Not Work as a Cell Phone. You can use cellular data, internet, stream, text and email, but it does not send or receive calls even though it has the phone key pad etc, and it is advertised that it works as a cell phone. If you are happy just being able to use cellular data for what it can do, you can find a much better deal, $150.00, Samsung, bigger screen and everything this tablet can do.

The description says UNLOCKED but after spending 2 hours at AT&T store. Found out this was Not Unlocked. It can only be used on Verizon service. Very Disappointed. Now have to decide either return or go to Verizon. I put it in a package and returned it for refund.
