Spots Dice Game – A Game about Rolling Dice, Pushing Your Luck, and Dogs!

Spots is such a fun game. We mainly play 2 player, but it also plays great at 3 and 4 players. Spots is a very easy game to play and teach. The game is basically rolling dice to complete the spots on cute little dogs and the first person to complete 6 dog cards wins. That seems easy, but with the variance in rules and options for turn rounds, it is easy to get wiped clean and have to start all over again if you are a risky player. It doesn't take too much thought when playing, so you can actually have a conversation while playing and the size is perfect for traveling with. We usually use the box top and bottom to corral the dice when rolling, so as not to lose any of the dice. This game never gets old, because there are a lot of game play options that switch in and out for a wide variety of turn options. It is also just a fun game that doesn't cause people stress when losing because it is fast and easy to start a new game. Plus it is a lot of fun for all ages no matter if you win or lose. :) Oh yeah, there are cute little red wooden dog bones you can acquire to provide you with more turns to roll the dice. Boneeeples are the cutest!

This is my favorite dice game. The highlights for me are: * The dog cards are a delightful way to collect your dice. Each time I get a new dog, I'm excited. * The push your luck element is well executed without being punishing. You have options to roll again with the bones. * The games comes with enough actions cards that keep the game fresh play after play. * Best of all, it truthfully only takes 5 minutes to explain, and games are almost always less than 30 minutes. Caveats: * I'd say the age rating of 10+ is a little high. We've played with younger kids (6 - 8), and they have fun. They might not be able to guess the odds quickly, but they compensate by collecting the bones to use so they can roll again when needed. * It's best with 2 - 3 players. 4 is fun, but there's a bit of waiting between turns if you're playing with someone indecisive. I hope they come up with a way to scale it up to 6 players.

Took a risk on this one and it really exceeded expectations! First of all the production is super. The art and design style is so fun and delightful. And the cardboard is really nice quality. Love that there are a trillion "trick" cards. What great variety that they did not have to include. I play this a lot with my 5.5 year old and so we have only used the starter 6 trick cards so far but there are a ton more (3x that amount?) left to explore. And I like that some are more complex and might be fun when playing with just adults. The gameplay is great. Quick turns and just fun rolling the dice and pushing your luck. But it's not a simple dice chucker and push your luck game at all. You have lots of choices and things to weigh when deciding how to proceed with your turn. It's really fun. Highly recommend to play with your kids but also would be a good light filler for adults. This game I appreciate more with each play. Excellent design and product.

Such a fun game! Played with my 7 year old. There’s a bit of set up required, but once you play a round, you get the hang of it! Also, there’s various ways to set the game up (different trick cards) that bring such variety to the game and adds to the re-playability! Super fun and love the instructional video guide- that was really helpful!

Fun! I have to work really long hours this week so I thought I'd treat myself to a small game that can be played during downtime at work. This is great! It's very easy to learn, and fun to play. I bought this primarily for solo but I can see it being fun with more players. I like how many different cards there are so it mixes things up a bit. Glad I grabbed it.

Easy to learn, fun to play. A great game for all ages. The game-play is super fun and the illustrations are brilliant. It has risk-taking elements of "Cosmic Wimpout" and enough strategy to keep it interesting. Lots of variations, as there are plenty of different cards to make each game unique. Always a lot of laughs, especially if you love dogs. Highly recommended game for the family.

This is the cutest game! It's fun and has high replay value. It's great if you enjoy push your luck games and adorable dogs. Doog is the best dog that is totally a dog.

This game is hilarious fun. The push your luck is so excellently executed. You always feel the inexplicable uncontrollable urge to go for glory. The game mechanics encourage it.

Es un "push your luck", sencillo y rápido... elige tu acción, tira tus dados, completa tus perros, el primero en completar 6 es el ganador. El arte es bonito, atrae a las personas que no son jugadores habituales, y el juego es lo suficientemente sencillo para no abrumarlos. De igual manera, lo he jugado con mi grupo habitual de juegos de mesa, e incluso ahí a sido una buena experiencia y han pedido jugarlo en más de una ocasión. 100% recomendable.

日本語訳がいまいちな部分もあったりでルール理解に躓く。 カードのイラストがかわいいので気に入ってますが、60代の両親はゲームを理解するのに苦労していたので家族間でやろうとする人にはおすすめしません。 ダイスが大量に入っている分、かなり重さもあるので出先でプレイするにはちょっとハードルがあります。 ゲーム自体は、難易度を変えたりしてプレ出来るのと、運要素の強いゲームなので、プレイ回数関係なく平等に戦える気がします。

Desde que lo vi anunciado, sabia que Spots sería un juego genial para ir introduciendo a mi familia y amigos a juegos de mesa más complicados y a no tenerle miedo a probar juegos que se salgan de lo que estan acostumbrados con Monopoly, Uno, etc. Spots es un juego sencillo, con una estetica muy linda y con reglas que son tan faciles que las puedes enseñar en 20 segundos. Perfecto para niños y para adultos. Podría decir que está en mi top 10 de juegos de mesa favoritos!
