This single socket cover box is ideal for covering a single plug socket. Very easy to use/fit. After turning off the power to the socket, remove the screws from the socket cover and move it out from the wall just enough to put the socket cover box behind the socket cover. Screw the socket cover back on and you’re done! This would be very difficult for a child to open. It’s very sturdy plastic and fits snuggly behind the socket. It’s an excellent safety product but expensive for what it actually is. In my opinion this is a 5 star product however I can only give 4 stars due to its cost.

Been looking for one of these for ages excellent value easy to fit

we put this on upside down over our little girls light swich. works so well. the hole is just the right size that upside down and andult can get there fingers in to swich the light on with out having to open it. but the child cant. so easy to put on. well made..i did think it cost a bit too much but the joy of not telling our girl off is worth it

Easy enough to install: simply unscrew the socket plate enough to get the cover over it. Once closed, it is hard for little hands to open but easy for an adult. The only problem is that the hole at the bottom for the lead is large enough that the plug can be pulled out by jiggling the lead and a child's fingers could easily fit inside. I solved this by wedging a bit of cardboard between the plug and the cover-- not ideal, but it works.

It arrived in good condition and well packed. I purchased this item to cover my emergency power isolation fused switch for my shed to prevent it being inadvertently switched off. It fitted perfectly and does a wonderful job. It also has an adequate surface are on the front to attach a label stating the plugs use. As I am not using it every day and I do not have a plug protruding from the socket it is ideal. However it does seem a little fragile, in my opinion it wouldn’t withstand the attention of a determined toddler. And I don’t think there is adequate space to fit anything other than a thin three pin plug. But as I said it is perfect for the purpose I purchased it for hence the 5 star rating.

My 15 month son can reach the light switch from his cot. Bought this to stop him playing with the switch... on... off... on... off!!!!I've installed it upside down. This allows me to still operate the switch through the cable aperture without having to unclip the cover. Works a treat.Fits really well - I have a standard light switch made by DETA, but wouldn't have any concerns about fitting a standard single socket or switch.Once install it's very robust and has certainly flummoxed my wee boy!!!
