Stargazing: Introductory guide to exploring the night sky, perfect for beginners to astronomy

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get started in amateur astronomy, this is an extremely useful field guide and will help any budding astronomer get to grips with our wonderful universe. This book has been wonderfully laid out to not come across as too simple for the seasoned star gazer but also not too technical for the newcomer. This will provide all the information you need to get started. I would recommend this alongside the collins planisphere and a good astronomy (Red wavelength) torch for field reading as to not affect your night vision.

Great quality book and a perfect introduction to Astronomy. The book is simple and informative with lovely illustrations throughout. This would make a great read or a gift for anyone with a casual interest in stargazing and a worthwhile stepping stone for those taking Astronomy further!Would recommend.Good luck with your purchase!

I bought this for my husband after he completed an astronomy course as a hobby. It came on time although was a little thinner than I had thought. My husband loves that he can just dive in here and there and read whatever he's interested in that day - there's no set way to read it like chapters etc. The pictures are beautiful and it's very easy to read; particularly for the novice. The paper, however, has a shiny overlay and so some pages do stick together. All in all a really good and useful book.

Excellent book very informative.

Just what I wanted for a beginner

An excellent book to learn about constellations & how they are placed during the different seasons. If you download apps like Sky view live &/or Stellarium - the entire night sky of constellations will come alive & it will help to learn their names.Happy stargazing!

book arrived very quick.printed very well.we bought to help us with stargazing, especially for kids, so far book is big hit and we are very exciting to start searching stars with telescope.it’s a lot of very interesting facts and information’s

Good beginner level information. Just what I needed. But WHY did some twit think it would be clever to print white letters on a BLACK background. It may look 'pretty' but it is difficult to read, and the text is small which makes it harder.Although the book contains good information, I don't recommend anyone to buy it.

GREAT BOOK AMAZING THANK YOU AMAZON

Bought this for my nephew who was getting into star gazing! He loved it!
