Beyond the insanity of the price - £0.84 including delivery on Prime - I was prepared to try this and find it wasn’t up to much. After all, I don’t tend to think of Amazon as a manufacturer of condiments. Clearly, this is a white label product, but it’s been well chosen and offers great taste and a pleasing amount of heat, just like other good Dijon mustards out there. And yes, I lived in France for years and tried and enjoyed ‘proper’ Dijon mustard. This, for the price and its availability in the UK, is an excellent substitute. I would personally like it even more if UK-sold Dijon mustard adopted the French custom of selling mustard in glasses you can repurpose for drinks once they’re empty. That may be the nostalgia, but I can’t help feeling it would be better to be reusing the glass instead of recycling it. While I refuse to buy it for solo delivery because the carbon footprint of shipping a single jar of mustard next day is mind boggling, this will almost certainly find its way into my Subscribe and Save deliveries.

Good quality dijon mustard at a reasonable price I don't know why they described it as spicy though. It's just a good all round mustard ideal for making sauces salad dressings mayonnaises.

This Dijon is comparable with supermarket brands. A few pennies more expensive perhaps but acceptable and nonetheless value for money. Dijon is used as much as an ingredient as an accompaniment so it needs to be good to high quality and this definitely works for both uses. It isn't powdery on the palate and peculiarly sharp like some cheaper Dijons tend to be so suitable for all uses. Nice balanced flavour. Recommended.

I'm not a big fan of English mustard, so this Dijon is a welcome pantry staple for hotdogs and adding to stews or roasts.
