Stable and strong
Stable fitting to my door frame.

Sturdy but not ergonomic
I have had many doorway pull-up bars over the years, but this is probably the sturdiest and most stable - even more so than screw-in models. While doing pull ups is great, when doing chin-ups my forearms hit the lower bar every time I extend my arms. This makes chin ups awkward and somewhat painful. I also give the bar high marks for ease of set up and height, which is significantly higher than most bars.

Decent buy, good value
I was looking for a pull up bar that I could easily remove when I wasn’t using it. Overall this product is fairly sturdy, has decent bumpers on it to keep it from scratching your doors or thresholds, and has a reasonably good height when it comes to how low it hangs on the door. In my case the installation was a little more complicated because I have wider doorways in my home, so I had to build a little frame that would hold it in place with a wood piece going across the doorway when I have it up. The unit itself is reasonably well-made, does seem to hold my larger frame well, and it’s been very nice to use. I would say you need to have a decent size lip on the doorway at the top to hang it onto, or you will have some problems with slipping.

Just what I was hoping for
Very sturdy, portable, makes it easy to maintain arm / lat strength on a road trip. Glad I purchased this item.

Needs some improvement
Although this pull-up bar is definitely better than the one that comes in multiple pieces and requires a safety clip to clip the weight-bearing bar on the door hinge, it definitely can use some improvements in some areas.Although this pull-up/chin-up bar does not require any safety clip to clip itself in place, nor it requires that you have a slit between your wall and the door frame, the rubbery material on the top hooks will mar your walls up even with the lightest touch. It is almost impossible to put this thing up on your door without the rubber pieces hitting and marring the frame or wall somewhere. Having masking tape around these areas helps, but it would be nice if they could have a different type of material that does not leave such marks in the first place. The horizontal support is supported by a piece of foam tape that is stuck against the door frame. I am not quite sure why they decided to use foam here, since foam is soft and the immense pressure against the foam will cause the foam to deform. The softness of the foam also allows a slight give while you are swinging on the bar. Although it is not enough to be dangerous, it does give a soft squeak while you are doing it.As you can see by my picture, the foam also left marks on the frame after only 2 uses. The foam itself is also starting to rub off after such light uses and this seems to be the common issue here looking at what other reviewers have experienced. Once the soft foam wears away, you may have bigger issues with the harder piece rubbing against your door.If you have a door that you don't mind damaging the paint on, then I think this is a good option. I did manage to find another bar that was half the cost and uses a solid rubber piece on the horizontal support that does not have this rubbing foam issue.
