Amazing Device -- Buy This Add-on
The Raspberry Pi Pico is just an amazing piece of hardware, but other reviewers will tell you that. Here are two things worth knowing:It is a totally great idea to pair your Pico with a Zero-Insertion-Force socket. It makes getting the Pico into and out of breadboards very, very easy and is great if you do what I do, buy a bunch of breadboards, and just leave projects wired up. Now you don't need Yet Another Pico for each and every breadboard -- just another socket.This socket on Amazon fits the Pico and standard solderless breadboards:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NAV2DI8/The other thing worth knowing, if you use MicroPython, is that the filesystem that's exposed when you use the boot-select button on the Pico is *NOT* the MicroPython file system. You have to have already installed the MicroPython UF2 and then access the MicroPython file system through MicroPython itself (though your IDE may make it seem like this happens automagically ... )
