Black and White: Amazing Baby

This book is brilliant, I have bought so many copies because it makes the perfect present when someone has a new baby, and I'm always getting pictures of friends' babies enjoying it. Right from when they're really new and they can just about look at things, this is something their eyes will latch onto, right up to when they love trying to turn the pages and the hole in every page makes it easy to grab. Can't recommend enough.

Lovely rhyme , clear pictures in black and white which are stimulating to the youngest babies. Sturdy board book which lasted through the gnawing on everything phase and the last page has a spinning bit which adds exra interest. This was a favourite of my daughters from about 3mths - 1 year - and we have since bought several as gifts for new babies along with a black and white toy of some description.

This is a beautiful first book - we've read it to our baby from about 3 weeks old and she really focuses on it. What is different from other 'black & white' books for babies is that there is text/story (a lovely rhyme) for the parent to read to the baby which both I as mum and my baby appreciate. Highly recommend.

My baby has loved this book since they were 1 month old. The black and white designs can be seen and enjoyed by newborns, and from an adults point of view it’s enjoyable to read as it’s not just words, but rhyming sentences. I’m buying this book for all my friends babies too!

I got this book for my baby when newborn so she could look at the black and white images, which she enjoyed. Now she is bigger we enjoy the lovely rhyming words.

When I first received this I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not, there is a lot of background going on in the pictures whith high contrast patterns everywhere, I wonder if this is overwhelming for a young baby. However the rhymes are fun to read and our 2 month old seems to like the book and loves the little bees and frogs especially. The thickness of the pages is great for little baby hands :)

Excellent book for under eighteen month olds, the black and white patterning is apparently very interesting and the ability to open the pages using the holes in each page is great fun - as is playing peekaboo through said pages. After eighteen months our wee one has moved on to more colourful and complex books but it was one of her favourites while it lasted :)

My baby loved this and was very obsessed with it - have bought for other babies who equally became entranced!
