ECOVACS W830 The Window Cleaning Robot, Silver

Brilliant! No more climbing on a stool, reaching over the sink, knackering my shoulder. Even the window cleaner was impressed (I only wanted it to do inside the house, conservatory etc) and it was superb for at least 18 hours.Then I dropped it! Gutted!! Broke the bottom sensors. I will buy another but I have to save up first. I got this one at a bargain price - two days later and the price had doubled. Worth every penny, though.

I just got the item, and I was disappointed that the so called manual only consists of pictures. It never told you have to charge the robot before using it. So, I plugged it in and hoped to hear some fan or anything. Nothing happened. Nothing at all. The light flashed green. and later I realised it changes to blue when it is ready to work. This isn't actually a fault, but I would have appreciated to be informed of it. So, when you get it, plug in the powercord and wait until the light turns to blue, then it is ready to go.Also I am not certain which side of the cloth should face the windowpane, but I think it is the grey one. And where can you purchase more liquid detergent?Now, I live in Sweden, and the UK plug doesn't fit at all, so I had to dig up some kind of replacement cord. I think it would be nice to sell this robot with plugs that fit EU standards.Overall, I am pleased with it, and I would give it five stars If the manual was more detailed and came with some kind of troubleshooting.

I had high hopes for this robot but unfortunately the results I got were appalling. I tried everything I could think of, less cleaning solution, more cleaning solution, changing the pads so they didn't get too dirty, going over the window 3-4 times, cleaning when there was no sunlight shining on the windows that might cause smears, I even tried finishing off using just a clean dry pad to see if that would polish off the smears, but still the results were nothing more than windows that were covered in a white haze and smears, along with a very distinct mark where the robot finished and stopped - and this was on small windows that it had rained on lightly only once. The robot stuck to the window, inside and out, without any problems regardless of the amount of solution I used, but I found it didn't seem to cover the entire window and I had to restart it to complete the job. My experience with it wasn't good, so for that reason, I couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Stops and starts for no reason meaning you have to keep resetting it via the remote control meaning it is not a quick solution! It does make quite a lot of noise as well which I' sure the higher models in the range have probable rectified. Also, the pads don't seem to that long and stretch after a few washes. Good Idea not very well executed but the price is worth paying as I live on the third floor and I'm not able to clean the sash windows easily!
