WiFi Hygrometer Thermometer with Hub, Dewpoint/VPD/Absolute Humidity Meter, Indoor Wireless Temperature Humidity Sensor Monitor with App Control, Compatible with Alexa, Google Home, IFTTT

I have 3 Hygrometer/Thermometers monitoring the temp and humidity in 3 different rooms. They are all connected up to a single SwitchBot hub. No issues so far and everything is working great. - They are all connected to the same hub and I've not seen any connection issues. - I've placed a regular hygrometer/thermometer next to it and the numbers were generally the same, sometimes with a 1 degree/percent difference. - Set up was very easy and reliable. Instructions were correct. - Battery life is good so far - uses two AAA batteries so they are easy to replace. After 2 week of usage, they are all still at 100% battery life. - SwitchBot has an API to their cloud - I'm planning to take advantage of this to archive my data and graph it on dashboard for monitoring. - I have it connected to Google Assistant and it is able to give me readings of the temp/humidity of each room when asked. One odd quirk though is it shows up as an adjustable dial in the Home app. I'm guessing this is more of a quirk of the Google Home app and not the meter since it's not like I can turn the humidity down through the meter. Ha! - The meter can store 36 days of sensor readings - you retrieve these when you are within bluetooth range and open the app. It will connect and retrieve/save the readings on your phone. - If you want it to send the data to the cloud, you need to go into the settings of each meter and set the cloud service to on. It will automatically send the data thru the Hub and you can see the data without having to go refresh the data thru bluetooth. - I've found the sampling resolution to be lower (maybe once every 30 minutes) when using the cloud. It appears to be higher when storing the data locally (about once every 5 minutes?). I've not found docs confirming these numbers so far, so take it with a grain of salt. There are tons of documentation split between their website and in the app. Everything is well written and detailed which is very rare these days. Overall, I've had an excellent experience so far. It works well and makes me want to get meters just so I have more data to in my graphs.

I have six of these in my home (including garage)! They are essential as Florida humidity in the house is something we have to keep on top of. Well worth the money!

I bought these to monitor the temperature on my first and second floors, outside, and in my Man Shed. They're small and unobstructive. They seem to be pretty accurate and easy to setup. I did have one monitor that had a display problem right out of the box. I had to return the whole set to Amazon to get a replacement. I love the display on the actual units so I don't have to pull out my phone whenever I want to see the temp. However, the range on them isn't great. All 4 devices never connect at the same time unless I'm within 20-30 feet of the units. And downloading historical data stored on the device on to my phone takes a LONG time. All in all, they're a good value for the money and get the job done, but certainly have some room for improvement.

Works as advertised, perfect for my home assistant setup and managing temperature in my bedroom.

For me, this thermometer is perfect. I’m not sure why so many people were thinking they could buy a product for $20 and suddenly control their existing thermostat (sigh) or monitor temps outside the home. (WTH?!) Amd yes, the hub is separate, but it also works as a smart remote and gives Alexa or google assistant capability to anything with an infrared remote. In fact, I had a stupid PlayStation tv that was given to me without a remote (I don’t game; and I’m not using a PS controlled to control my tv), and I taught the hub to control that. So, I can say, “Alexa, turn in the boob tube” (yes, that’s what I named it) and it works. Easy peasy! However, on the hub, I did have issues with Alexa confusing the “living room tv” with living room lights. After a couple times sitting in the dark irritated, I charge the device’s name to boob tube. Anyhow... the thermometer. You have to be smarter than what you’re working with, and you have to understand a device’s purpose. This can not control your home thermostat, unless you have your thermostat integrated to a smart home automation platform. What it can do, is send you alerts when the temp or humidity reach certain thresholds. Uh can also link the SwitchBot app with Alexa and IFTTT. As far as I know, it can’t be incorporated with Alexa routines as of yet, but I was able to set up some IFTTT applets that turn space heaters (smart plugs) on if the temp gets below 68 degrees, and turn them off again if above 70.5. I also have it tied a humidifier that operates similarly. I live in a building where I do not control the central AC, and it is mostly comfortable, but this supplemental system I have implemented has gone off without a hitch after about a month with the switchbots. NOTE: These do connect to WiFi; and have worked when I have not been home, so they do not have the same Bluetooth limitations that some devices have. If I could give them 6 stars, I would. Looking forward to more great things from this company.

It's a shame when your thermometer can't just tell you the temperature, without needing internet, gps location, all network information, and a verified account and identity, and what data it can get from your phone. Had I known about this I would never have bought it. The best you can do is to use an old phone with nothing on it, to minimize the privacy invasion. I don't think it's possible to use this without internet connectivity either. Keep that in mind if you want to check temperature trends at a remote cabin or anywhere you don't have internet. This could be a 10 star product, if it did only what the consumer wanted it to do and zero spying, zero account needed, zero internet or gps needed. It just needs to be a temperature data logger with a half decent interface, nothing else. To make this review helpful to as many people as possible, I will add this: if you are a person who does not care about the privacy concerns I've mentioned then I think you will really like it, it is a good product, the hardware works well, and seems well built. The 4 units I got all read within a few tenths of a degree of each other. When you're measuring degrees in F, it's tough to get better than 2 degrees + or - to the real temperature unless you use lab grade equipment. So if it's 70, one could read 68 and other could read 72. In this case the close readings indicate very good accuracy.

I have been using these devices for the past week and here is my take: As a sensor, it does exactly what it says, very accurately. Setup is relatively easy, if you have a hub close at hand. The requirement for a hub itself can be a negative for some, but in all honesty, it doesn't matter much if you don't need to sync the values or connect to cloud services. If you are a tinkerer and use HomeAssistant, you won't need the hub, you can use HomeAssistant's built-in integration to incorporate these devices via Bluetooth into your home automation ecosystem. The major downside for me is that the connectivity technology is built on Bluetooth, and not WiFi. This means that the devices have very limited range when it comes to finding the hub. One of the four in the box can't find the hub for me, due to placement requirements. Once you get past that, though, setup is easy and usage even easier. The provided magnetic tape can be used to install this almost anywhere non-invasively. You can also use the provided stand to keep it sitting on a surface, tilting slightly upwards, which is nice. The display could use a little higher contrast, as it is hard to read in extreme lights (either too dark or too bright). Since the tech used to connect these to the hub is Bluetooth, your out-of-range devices will not be able to find the hub, and as such you can't use cloud services (Alexa, Google Assistant, etc. integration) with it. That's why I'm giving this a 3-star review and not a 5-star. I am not giving it 4, because the connectivity detracts from the "smart"ness of the device, and I wouldn't recommend this to someone who was going to deploy this in a moderately large environment.

With this latest 4-pak, I now have 12 monitoring temperature and humidity at various locations around the house. Setup was fast and easy once you have the app and an account created. You remove the display protective plastic, open the battery cover, install batteries in the indicated directions, replace cover, press button to select between F & C temperature display, press the + in the upper right corner of the app’s home screen, tap the meter after it has been detected, then follow on screen directions to complete. For iOS devices, having the mini-hub is not required as long as you are in Bluetooth range. Otherwise, plan on one or more hubs depending on how widespread your installation is. (Using hubs allows data to be uploaded to the cloud. Each hub also has IR remote control capabilities for devices in its line of sight.) Because I just want consistency between meters, I didn’t do an exact calibration. Instead, I just placed them all together in a closed box which I placed in a dead air area for 24 hours. I then selected the temperature and humidity that most agreed upon (mathematical mode) and adjusted the others using calibration to match. Tips: If you have multiple new meters, only power them up 1 at a time when adding them. Also, since there are no serial numbers or Bluetooth MACs printed on these, marking devices will help your sanity. I just used a pencil and wrote the location on the battery cover. Eventually, I may make labels and add them inside the battery compartment. If using the stick-on metal plates to magnetically hang your meter, clean the area and allow it to dry before sticking the tape to the mounting point. Consider replacing the 2 included AAA batteries with your favorite high quality name brand. Set up the rooms or locations in the app prior to adding the meter to speed the process. Also, the room selection appears at the bottom of the screen so you need to hit Done after entering the name. Issues: If I manually tried activating Cloud Services and selecting a hub, it failed to detect the hub on the first attempt but was successful on the second. If I waited until it prompted me, it succeeded the first time. Even though the temperature calibration shows that you can adjust by 0.1°F, it varies by about 0.2°, indicating it’s actually adjusting by 0.1°C.

Très bon thermomètre murale. Il permet d'afficher les degrés et l'humidité dans l'air très précisément. Je l'ai testé avec un autre thermomètre digital ainsi qu'un thermomètre au mercure et la précision est parfaite. Il n'est ni trop petit, ni trop grand. Facile à lire jusqu'à 5m. La fonction de stockage des données sur le cloud lui donne un plus. Cela permet de voir l'évolution de la température au cours de la journée, de la semaine, du mois et bien plus. La connexion avec Google Home ou Alexa est très pratique pour savoir la température sans être dans la pièces ou même à l'autre bout du monde grâce à l'appli. Il est également possible de faire des routine comme par exemple allumer la clim lorsque la température dépasse 25° ou allumer le chauffage si la température est inférieure à 20°. La connexion avec le hub est simple, il suffit de suivre les instructions. C'est un produit que je recommande sans problème.

I was looking for a digital thermometer & found this SwitchBot Meter (Thermometer & Hygrometer). What the box includes 1 x SwitchBot Meter (Thermometer & Hygrometer) 1 x Setup instructions leaflet 2 x AAA batteries (Panasonic LR03 Industrial Alkaline) 1 x Metal plate with 3M adhesive Initially I was a little hesitant to buy this because I had never heard of SwitchBot before, but I'm very glad I purchased one to test it out. Since then I have bought a few more of these over the last three/four months. I've found them easy to setup & they all work perfectly. Setup (Bluetooth) I used the iOS app (you need to create a SwitchBot account). The app is user friendly & does not crash. Insert the batteries into the meter, open the app & press + to add a new device & then add a meter. To pair press & hold the button on the back of the meter until the Bluetooth symbol is displayed on the LCD screen. The app finds the meter almost instantly. Finally give it a name, E.G. Living Room, Kitchen, Fridge, etc. Note: This setup only allows you to view the meter readings (temperature & humidity) & ~30 day history from the app. I placed my first one in the garage to keep an eye on the temperature of my beer during the hot summer weather. It is easy to check the temperature & humidity from the app & therefore no need to go into the garage. The SwitchBot support site includes a lot of useful information & I have used the SwitchBot support via email to check if I could put one of these meters into the fridge. I got a response within a few hours & the answer was YES :). It has been working fine for over a month. Additionally I also purchased the SwitchBot Hub Plus so that I can say "Alexa, what's the temperature of the living room" or "Alexa, what's the temperature of the garage?", etc. using the names of the meters you have setup. Note: Humidity is not supported yet with Alexa SwitchBot Hub Plus was also easy to setup & has worked without issue for more than 2 months. I chose the plus version because it is powered from the mains supply. I don't really use the fancy internal coloured lights. The SwitchBot Alexa skill needs to be enabled & linked to your SwitchBot account & each of the meters needs the cloud service to be enabled in it's settings. (I'll add a more detailed review to the hub at a later date) Summary Simple styling looks great anywhere IOS app makes it easy to setup & use Bluetooth range seems good even through multiple brick walls No issues during use (via app or Alexa) Support request turnaround is timely For me it is enhanced with the hub I really can't find any fault with this or any of the other SwitchBot products I have purchased. Even though £25 may seem expensive, they are often discounted on amazon.co.uk

Very impressed that all 4 were calibrated so tightly, after 10 mins they all read the same values. Data transfer is slow, and I wish it ran better in the background. I’m thinking about buying the hub to fix that.

I already had the Switchbot hub and a few switches so decided to add this to monitor and control my 2 aircon units which are both Mitsubishi. Really easy to add to the system and set up the remote codes for my unit. You can go further and automate the system based on temp or humidity but for me just the ability to flick it on from anywhere before I get home is a huge bonus.

I've got 9 now, plus the hub, bought during various discount sales. I've used them for monitoring temperature and humidity throughout my home, in a 3D printer room, and even inside a friend's faulty fridge! Readings all seem accurate and consistent. The devices feel solid and high quality. The magnetic back is useful! The app is great and works remotely (with the hub), plotting graphs and calculating other values like absolute humidity, dew point, etc from the raw temperature and humidity. The batteries seem to last forever.
