Make sure the flat side of the pencil touches the charger. You should see a tiny led light up on the charger. After charging, place the pencil flat side down on your iPad pencil groove, usually just once, and it reconnects without needing to access settings.Very pleased with it so far :)

Despite having the correct compatible Apple Pencil it just wouldn’t work and returned.

​Marvellous little gadget that frees the Apple pencil 2 from the side of the iPad!On the face of things, the fact that the pencil 2 clings to the side of my iPad using magnets is really useful. In practice, though, I tend to use my iPad when laid on my side in bed, and the number of times that I have woken up to find a pencil-less iPad and my pencil buried among the sheet somewhere can't be counted. I didn't want to leave it off the side of the iPad while laid down, though, because I use it quite a lot during the day and therefore needed the top-up overnight.This little device means that I can have the charger by my bedside, take the pencil off the side of the iPad, put it onto the charger, and wake up next morning knowing a) exactly where my pencil is and b) knowing that it is fully charged and ready for action.I love this charger, and recommend it to anybody who uses a pencil 2 in a non-classic manner

I made the mistake of buying an magnetically chargeable pen for my iPad 10 gen which I later discovered won’t charge magnetically even though the iPad has a magnetic holder for a pen….it’s not a charger on this model.So I need a magnetic charger and ordered this. Looks good and high quality, just can be a bit fiddly to get the pen aligned and charging, so check that the light on your pen is blinking appropriately to indicate it is charging. Once it’s aligned works fine but for me and the pen I have (admittedly a third party and not apple) it takes a while to get it aligned and charging, it doesn’t just snap in and go.

Once the Apple Pencil 2 is placed on the charger for a few minutes, the pencil became disconnected with the iPad (the Bluetooth connection is lost). I need to reconnect the pencil in settings in order to use the pencil again!Unfortunately, I had thrown away the box and can no longer return the item.

Don't buy this. It un-pairs your Apple Pencil whilst charging.After using it a few times my Pencil is now dead and will no longer pair or charge on the iPad.
