Listing states it had s timer, mine does not!

The bulb burnt out about 2 hours after turning on. It came w/an extra bulb and I haven't even turned it on again after replacing. Does not seem to get hot enough to really melt the candle enough to get aroma out of it. It is bright and looks good (white/brass) but the control doesn't allow you to turn up heat though there is a +/- button??? and the timer hours selection doesn't mean a thing either.
