Microplane Kitchen Grater Coarse for Cheese, Carrot, Ginger, Coconut, Nuts and Horseradish with Stainless Steel Blades - Made in USA

My current grater has got so blunt that using it for aged rock-hard Parmesan is a real chore. So I had to find a replacement. I restricted my search to the MICROPLANE brand because I already own their foot grater, which does a fantastic job removing dead skin from my heels. However I did not fancy also using it for cheese! Some other reviewers have complained about the difficulty of removing labels, but mine came off easily; presumably the manufacturer has noted the problem and changed the adhesive. Although it is classified coarse grade, when I tested it on my rock-hard Parmesan it produced perfectly satisfactory cheese to sprinkle on my spaghetti. I also tried it with the Norwegian cheese "Jarlsberg" which is tasty but a bit rubbery in texture. Again the result was perfect for sprinkling. Finally, another point in its favour. It comes with a plastic shield to use for storage. I can put it into my utensils drawer without danger to fingers.

Good to use, easy to use, practcal. I hope mine will not disintegrate too soon at the grip like for the others. (have two more of this product of different density, for about 2 years now, I am hoping for the best)

If you have not used micro-plane before, you are in for a treat. It makes grating cheese and anything else really easy - it just glides through! This says that it is a coarse grater, but with cheddar cheese it comes out very fine - it may be more obviously coarse with hard vegetables.

Perfect handheld grater. Its metal construction makes it solid as well as hygienic. Comfortable to hold and easy to clean. Excellevt.

I have purchased cheap ones before…,but you know the saying …buy cheap buy twice! Definitely worth the money

Excellent grater, sharpest ever! (but the handles are poorly made, and mine has disintegrated in the dish washer). Just don't grate down to include your fingers!!

I bought this to replace an identical grater that had worn out after several years use. You can’t beat Microplane for quality.

The finish is substandard, both course graters ( sold by best321).that I purchased are bent askew in the same way, not microplane at all and no blade guard as the real deal has. So, pretty much false advertising all round. Awaiting the official deliver date to come and go before I can make a claim according to Amazon...🤔

Best grater I have had, but the handle came loose after 9 months! Did not expect that from a premium product, and it is the first time it happens to any of my kitchen appliances.

Very happy with this grater! It does not shred cheese coarsely, it shreds it fine, but thanks to reading the reviews, I was prepared for this and got exactly what I wanted (a fine grater, also bought the extra coarse one to use for coarse shreds). I'm glad I read all the reviews complaining about the label, as this helped me prepare for the worst. I removed the label as carefully as possible, taking it slow and trying to leave as little adhesive behind as possible. What was left came off with Goo Gone and a paper towel. Took several minutes but definitely not too much of a pain and worth it for the use of this awesome grater. I washed my grater by hand after using the Goo Gone, then ran it through the dishwasher and it was ready to use. It works really well, shreds better than any grater I've ever used, and I love that it stores easy, and has a cover so you don't have to worry about slicing your fingers or any other utensils in your drawer when you're fishing for it.
