These are cute, tunable, and they work. There is no resonant chamber so the volume is minimal - and if this is a gift for a kiddo, that may be a feature, not a bug. :)

These are going out to the kids...I kept one because they're a lot of fun. Well made and has a lot of little extras like finger protectors, cleaning cloth and little black storage bag.

I bought these 8 Key Mini Kalimba Pianos for my family's stockings. I tried one before giving them away and nearly kept one for myself. Not a wide range of notes, but an addictive little hand instrument. I had to give it away though, one has to out-do one's family members, especially John who gave everyone Jaw Harps last year and got to break the wishbone from the family turkey. I will have the last laugh this year though. I hope you choked on that wishbone John.

You can probably get an idea of the tuning from the image uploaded the one on the left is how it arrived the right one was tuned.Got these after purchasing another set of kalimbas. These ones weren’t tuned it was a bit difficult so you will definitely need a tuner (download an app) or reference instrument for the scale1-C/DO. 2-D/RE. 3-E/Mi. 4-F/FA. 5-G/sol 6-A/La. i -C/DoMy husband is a better musician than me so he helped me tune them.….it’s a lot of work- If this is the first instrument you are trying seek an alternative listing. In my opinion nothing worst than trying something for the first time, and it not working probably.

Being totally new to a kalimba, i have had to do a little you tube video watching to learn that the kalimbas needed tuning and to learn how. If you have a little musical talent and know basic notes, it's easy to start working out songs. They don't produce the music that the advertisement portrays.

Very disappointed in these. The sound is terrible.Comes with no instructions or song book. You have to look both up.Save your money.

Bought these cute little Kalimbas for children's Christmas presents. They seem to be built well and they sound good for their size. The Children were excited to learn to play them, so a great little starter kalimba.

Great for gifts.
