I bought this specifically to check temperature differences at various points inside a warehouse, including surfaces at ground level and up near the roof, which is about 25 feet high. For that job it has worked extremely well. It is genuinely point and shoot, gives a reading almost instantly, and the laser makes it easy to see exactly where you are aiming even when checking something quite a distance away. I was able to compare temperatures around the floor, walls and roof structure without having to get a ladder out every time, which made the whole job considerably easier. The readings have been consistent when I have checked the same area more than once, and the display is clear and easy to read. It also feels reasonably solid rather than like a cheap gadget that will fall apart after a few uses. Simple tool, does exactly what I bought it for, and has already saved me a fair bit of messing around. Very happy with it.

I just had to move so I bought a used mobile home on some land instead of renting and I knew it needed some minor repairs but I had no idea of how bad the previous owner had only fixed it cosmetically instead of properly so with the winters getting longer and much colder I felt cold drafts everywhere but needed to locate them. This cost me less than a pizza and is awesome. Simply point at the area you want to check and pull the trigger and it immediately shows you them temperature of that area. This is a laser pointed device so it will read the temp. where you see the red light at. This has already helped me find the areas where I have been losing heat and letting cold air in and this was essential in helping me get my home weatherized. No need to pay for something high priced. This even came with batteries. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to check the temperature in certain areas.

This infrared thermometer worked great! I bought it to check and zone the temperatures on my flat top griddle, and it made a huge difference. It’s quick, easy to use, and gives accurate readings in just a second or two. I can easily see which areas are hotter or cooler, making it much easier to cook different foods at the same time. Works well for quick surface temperature checks and is very easy to use. I’ve found that it performs best when used fairly close to the surface being measured. At close range, the readings are consistent and useful for general temperature checks. So far the readings have been off by about 2–3 degrees compared with other temperature measurements. That isn’t a major issue for situations where an approximate surface temperature is all you need, but it’s something to keep in mind if you need very precise readings.

It has a wide temperature range very affordable, easy to use compact and of great quality will definitely purchase again if needed.

It’s amazingly all the applications you’ll find for this gadget. Gave one to my Dad and he can’t stop measuring temp for everything. Bath water laundry. Cooked food. Especially Chicken Breast. He found it was dead on 155f matching his meat thermometer. And yes I chicken must be cooked to 165 but will continue to cook after you remove it from the heat .. this trick prevents the meat from drying out.

Fantastic thermometer that looks and performs great. I have used it many times for cooking purposes. To read water temperature and oven surface temperatures for bread making. I highly recommend this as it is fast and accurate. However to get accurate cooking temperature for meats you will still need a meat (or stab) thermometer!

Es gibt nicht viel zu sagen über die Funktionsweise des Produktes, denn diese ist denkbar einfach. Es gibt wie bei einer Pistole einen Hebel am oberen ende des Griffes und drei kleinere Knöpfe für Einstellungen (°F/°C, Laser I/O, Displaybeleuchtung I/O) unter dem Display. Das Gerät misst schnell und meistens auch zuverlässig, allerdings kann die Messung auf glänzenden Oberflächen aus der Entfernung etwas schwer werden, da die Ergebnisse verfälscht werden. Die Oberfläche des Thermometers fühlt sich erstaunlich edel an (nicht wie billiger Kunststoff sondern sie fühlt sich weich an, fast wie Silikon), liegt gut in der Hand, das Display ist gut lesbar und die Beleuchtung ideal auch wenn es Hell ist. Batterie ist dabei und für den Preis ein tolles Produkt.

Works like a charm. Sturdy and tough. I use it for a commercial scale equipment temperature measurements where temperatures reach 200 Celsius. Takes between 3-5 to get stable. However the equipment and hot surface distance to be not more than 5 feet. Works for me
