Tetra EasyStrips

I recently bought the 6-in-1 not noticing that it didn't test for ammonia so I bought this too. I like the convenience of test strips because they're quick and easy to use. I cut them in half, but honestly the price isn't too bad...but they will last longer now. I accidentally left half a strip out and forgot about it. I used it after a few days and got really bad readings. I tested again with a new test and it was all safe levels, so a little advice: don't leave the strips out.

I didn't even know ammonia was an issue, saw these on my recommended products. Apparently, turtles produce a lot of ammonia and I had no idea. My strip came back dark green. Not good. I bought a new filter and my turtle finally started eating again. After the water cleared up, the strips came back perfect. I'm so glad I tested before it was too late.

I recently started up an aquarium, and before knowing everything that I should, I quickly ran into an ammonia problem. I didn't properly cycle the tank to start and that caused some issues. I needed something to quickly test for ammonia levels as my other test strips did not have that test. I ordered these and they do exactly as they should. I was able to assess, diagnose, and remedy the problem without losing too many of my fish. My only complaint with these strips is that 3 of the strips did not have the testing square on the end of them. They were just pieces of paper. So 12% of my strips were useless. The other 22 worked exactly as they are intended. Beginners, learn and know the nitrogen cycle before jumping into an aquarium.

Wow, these are super easy to use. We normally use the API freshwater test kit (aka: fish chemistry set) for my kids to check the water daily. When we are short on time we use these with the Tetra easy strips 6-in-1 for quick results. [I know you do not need to check water every day but I want kids to take responsibility for the health and water monitoring of their fish... and they love doing it!]

Some swear by the liquid test kits, but I love the convenience of these strips and the information they give me keeps my aquariums in perfect balance. I have become an addict and now I have to buy the container of 100 of the 6 in 1 strips lol Ammonia is very important to monitor and it is not included in the multi test strip, so this is an essential addition to your hobby supply kit.

Very easy to use. Everyone should keep ammonia test strips on hand since any signs of illness in fish often start with poor water conditions. This product was especially helpful when cycling a small, 3 gallon tank.

These are rather pricey, so you are paying for the convenience of using these strips instead of the liquid forms. And maybe my eyes aren't what they used to be, but the box and the bottle color charts don't look quite the same to me. But more important, they are somewhat off when I take a sample in to my local fish store. So I've learned to rely more on the appearance of my fish and the tank environment to determine when I should use this strip. And I've also learned not to panic, and to take a water sample in for testing if this strip shows a problem. I am faithful in my tank maintenance, so usually there's no problem.

My aquarium is a healthy environment for my fish. I use these test strips, along with another test strip, to monitor the water quality on a regular basis. They are convenient, fast, and easy to use.
