Well, I will say we had plenty of laughs trying to catch flies until I tried to catch a spider with it and snapped it in half. Fear not, I taped the middle and still got the summer out of it killing flies galore. So my daughter is terrified of flies, so this is a must. However, by the end of it she thought it was hilarious me trying to give my best shot and the flies just flying away. I found it easier holding the button once the fly was still and putting the bat on it. The battery life was good, but the cooking of the flies wasn't the nicest, but it saved the scream of my child. If there was a bit of fly left over when trying to catch another fly it lets out a noise which is the fly being electrocuted so the other fly just again flies off. So I would recommend cleaning it by banging it over the bin. The function of the bat is great but not advisable for trying to smack spiders with it and clean off dead flies so they aren't extra cooked 😂 However I did feel much accomplishment when I had cleared the flies that just binned around my kitchen for no reason.

I bought this when my old ‘zapper’ died on me, I had had it for years and I think it had been dropped at some stage. In the summer, we spent a lot of time in the garden, even into mid evenings when it was still light, but wasps were always the biggest problem,; whenever we got the food out. They were forever trying to get at the cheeseboard; not jams and sweet things. The first time I used this Bug Bat, I was surprised at how immediately and effectively it ‘zapped’ the offending insect! There is no mistaking you have dispatched it, by the sparking noise. I have now dispatched many of them who were becoming a menace and fortunately, since then, none of us have been stung and we were able to eat in peace.

I zapped a tiny fruit fly just to test the bat and it made a louder-then-expected noise and lots of sparks! Is it supposed to do that? I'm a bit scared to use it on a regular fly!

Had no affect on flies as difficult to use

For the job, it does what it says, very effective and I am please. However the handle broke in less than 10 days, so the quality can be improved.

Replacing old version , lasted 3-4 yrs, these look just as good, and 2 for the price of one. Build looks good for price, haven’t had chance use yet buy the last one was very effective. Good fun too getting rid of flies!!!!

Salve a tutti. Ho comprato questo prodotto perchè un mio amico ne aveva uno simile e funzionava. Ora io l'ho testato per un po e devo dire che funziona molto bene. L'iportante è dare un colpo deciso all'insetto in volo e questo viene fulminato. Stare attenti a non toccare la racchetta in funzione con le dita, la scarica è abbastanza forte da intorpidirle per un po. Per il resto lo consiglio vivamente per piccoli e medi insetti. Saluti

L'atout efficace de l'été contre moustiques notamment. Peut paraître un peu "plastoc" de prime abord mais en réalité très utile ! l"arme absolu !

It's great and works just as expected, from my experience battery opperated is much better that USB charged ones. My only comments would be that I have to keep holding down the button which gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. Otherwise it works great.
