Does the 12 oz cup have a lid?

Is this bowl able to contain hot liquids and if so to what degree?

Hi there, great question. The silicone material can easily handle very high (and low) temperatures.
However, we do not recommend using the HYDAWAY cup to hold very hot liquids. Since the product is designed to fold into a thin disk, the silicone walls are not thick enough in some areas to provide enough insulation for very hot liquids. But now we do have our collapsible tumblers and cups that has an insulating sleeve, they are made to hold your hot beverages/food.

Also, what we’ve found is that the hot drinks served in cafes and coffee shops are closer to 150-170F and don’t pose a problem. We tested this extensively during the design phase. Our tumblers were designed to replace coffee shop plastic cups, lids, and straws.

Is this product safe to use with an imersion heater?

Hi there, thanks for that question. The Hydaway collapsibles is primarily designed for carrying and drinking water/ food, and it does not have a direct connection or compatibility with immersion heaters. It is not intended to be used with an immersion heater or any other heating device.

It is  made of food-grade silicone and is designed to withstand typical usage, such as filling it with water/food, carrying it, and drinking from it. However, exposing it to direct heat sources like an immersion heater can potentially damage the bottle and compromise its integrity.

If you need to heat water using an immersion heater, it's recommended to use a heat-resistant container specifically designed for that purpose.
