some constructive comment on the game of life
Yes good; I think it is a bit too easy to win via the 'student' route perhaps Hambro could build into it a period of unemployment for the 'student' say losing 3 turns if the player lands on the wrong square ! Also the 'student' should be able to 'fail' his graduation and go to the 'work' route if 'he' or 'she' lands on the wrong square ! The 'student' should also pay back the loan for his or her education. Perhaps that is already in the game but I did not notice it.Perhaps Amazon could pass on the comments to Hasbros- and if it is not in the game- how about child allowance weekly for the children- and what about divorce !!.

Great fun for the family
When I was younger I used to play the older version of this game and loved it. As I got older there have not been many decent board games as there were back in the day. However my step-daughter played this version at a friends, so I decided to buy this game. It is pretty much the same as the retro version which a modern update. I loved playing this game with the family which consists of my husband, 10 year old step daughter and 3 year old daughter. Even though she is pretty young, she still understands the concept of the game and it definitely helps with replicating everyday life (to some extent). Love this game, always a different outcome of luck and much more fun than Monopoly.

I was disappointed to find that a lot of the challenges etc ...
I bought this for my children for Christmas after I played the old version with friends. While there is nothing wrong with the game itself and it is very enjoyable, I was disappointed to find that a lot of the challenges etc and the game play had been changed from the 1990s version I played recently and the 1980s version I remember from my childhood. My kids didn't know any different and still enjoyed the game, but if you're looking for this game for nostalgic reasons, you will likely be disappointed.

Great family game
Bought this after we had "minion" themed Game Of Life for Xmas, which is beyond awful by the way - stick to the "original"However, this has changed since the one I remember as a kid, and not entirely for the better. Adding action cards, homes etc - just not as good as the old one, sorry, wished had bought a used one off ebay. However - if you have never played the old one then this is still great fun though

Fun family game
I bought this game for my daughter and we have had a great time playing it as a family. The game doesn't take too long to play like some other board games and is great fun for all the family. The only downside is the small pink and blue markers often fall out of the cars and are easy to lose as they are so small, but this doesn't really matter and wouldn't put me off buying the game.

Great game with easy instructions
An amazing game. Only got it today, played it with Mum and she was unsure because she thought it was a bit like Monopoly, however at the end of the games she said that she was fooled, and indeed loves it! I can't wait till the next time we play it. It is also a very quick game to play, half an hour of gameplay for two people (roughly). Easy instructions to follow and they are the sort of instructions which you can use while playing the game; you don't have to know how to play it before you start as you can follow them from the start, right to the end.

Hopeless upgrade but still a great game
It's a great game but has been revamped and so unlike the original quality. I bought three games for adult education classes and was enjoyed by all, with great educational value. However, the pieces are so small and fiddly and difficult to see, the spinner no longer central so it's difficult to reach. The pieces move about at the slightest breath. It's hopeless for younger children, older arthriticky people and those with disabilities. Placing the 'tokens' on the spinner is a joke, they just fly off. Wish I had used my money to buy second hand:(The upgrade could have addressed the pink/blue gender stereotyping. It's all in the detail, try better next time.

Worth a buy
I have played it once and think highly of it. I plan to play it again tonight. I like the variety of notes on the squares. Also the spinner instead of a dice. The only negative thing which does not effect game play at all is the storage of the money and the parts. In other board games there is a section to place them.I shall read reviews of the Adventure game and may consider getting that one later in life.
