It effectively is an SD card (or USB stick) reader that creates it's own WiFi hotspot so a device with the app installed for example can read the files or stream a movie etc. I preloaded with movies before a long holiday and configured the children's tablets to be able to connect to it and they watched whatever they wanted, independent to each other - like having a media streamer at home for the TV

I have used this with USB drives with 500 Gb with no problems. I don't think there is any limit to the size of USB drive or stick that can be attached.

Can you use it to charge your I phone , I pad or a android device

You can in an emergency but it will soon sap the energy from it's battery. If you just want a portable device to charge a phone or tablet there are cheaper and more efficient devices out there.

Go to settings and do a bridge. Really easy then you have internet which is a bit slower and share on device
