A good instant coffee - very rich
I stopped drinking caffeine about 2 years. Over that time I have been using a ground Lavazza decaf with a French press or a Nespresso machine. The Nespresso broke down last week and I didn't think it was worth replacing if I was only drinking decaf.I thought I would give this product a go even though I haven't drunk an instant cup in years. The reason why I picked Clipper is because I use their decaf tea which is the best by far. This coffee is rich and very filling. Instructions are 2 teaspoons per 250ml water at 90 degrees celsius (i.e. boil kettle and leave for 1 minute). Using 2 teaspoons I even found the coffee tasted too strong so 1 and half teaspoons suits me better.I like this decaf coffee alot. Clipper make great products. Using water to remove the caffeine makes for a nicer tasting coffee. Fair trade and organic too.

Lovely Coffee, Healthier & Tasty
Really good quality. Nice medium-strong taste.Got it for my partner who recently switched to decaf for health benefits. We try to consume organic foods where possible, & as he drinks so much coffee each day, it made sense to look for an organic coffee.Reasonably priced compared to other organic decaf coffees, & it doesn't lose any flavour, compared to a caffeinated coffee.I believe this is decaffeinated using the CO2 method, which is the healthy way to remove the caffeine. No toxins are used.

a good coffee
This Clipper decaf coffee used to be the best on the market with such a mellow flavour but now Clipper has changed the flavour and it is bitter, why would they do that? And its now impossible to contact Clipper?

Amazon have saved me again! My favourite decaffeinated coffee!
My favourite decaffeinated coffee! The flavour is superb, rich and smoky. Unfortunately, I used to buy this from Tesco but their policy of removing anything that does not sell well by the definitions of their computer analysis, meant that this product was dropped. So, I had to find an alternative. And this was an even cheaper option! To purchase two items was better value than one in any store, so I am even more happy!Clipper is an excellent brand. I buy their teas as well and so I'm very pleased to find the decaffeinated coffee available through Amazon.

Vile
Absolutely vile. Leaves a really nasty aftertaste. Would definitely not recommend this coffee.

The only Decaf i have found that tastes like coffee
I have tried many many different kinds of decaf including the decafs supermarket-own-brand decafs, Nescafe, Kenco, Percol and various other brands of decaff. I have also tried decaffeinated beans/ground coffee rather than just instant decaf. All these decaffeinated coffees tasted like something was missing from the flavour - i had accepted that decaf could not be as good as the real thing. However i then tried this clipper decaf - and can honestly say it tastes better or as good as many caffeinated coffees. I was also keen to avoid decafs which were decaffeinated using various chemicals - some of which apparently remain on the decaf and may or may not be bad for your health. Clipper uses a process which avoids nasty chemicals, read about it here[...]In summary, tastes good, maybe less likely to kill you.

The aftertaste is a real problem
I looked at the reviews before ordering and thought the aftertaste would just be a lingering coffee taste. It isn't. It's more like licking glue and it goes on for hours. Then I found Douwe Egberts on sale in my supermarket. It had all the taste without the aftertaste and it was half the price.

Don’t judge it negatively on first cup
So I was ready to throw this in the bin after the first cup as it tasted bitter and nasty however due to the fact that I couldn’t get an alternative organic decaf straight away I made another cup adjusting the water milk (almond) ratio and I’m so glad I did because it tastes amazing and strong and smooth. I add 2 tsp of this in a decent size mug with 1/4 almond milk. Very nice !
