Victim blaming via "God"
I bought this as a gift and I'm so glad I read a couple pages before I gave it to her. I originally wanted this because I'm a big fan of "Milk and honey" and given the extreme similarities I assumed it was the same author. Later I realized it's not, but still gave it a try anyways. Now I feel they ripped off the aesthetic of Rupi Kaur to trick people into buying their religious viewpoint. You should really put something about the Christian viewpoint on the back so people will know if it's for them or not. Page 27 "Spend more time praying. God will help you... Pray to have more inner strength to let go of the bad habits that brought you here." Sounds a little like victim blaming paired with the advice to 'pray it away.' As an ex christian this book is incredibly triggering. Plus there is absolutely no poetry. Just a sermon. I will be returning it.

A Message We All Can Use....
Letting go is essential to emotional and physical health. The practice of letting go is an art. So it is fitting that Vasiliu chose the art of free verse to enlighten us on letting go. She gives us the what, how, and why of just how beneficial letting go can be. Each poem is an encouragement to the soul.My only negative comment is that in several of the poems she adds God as a resource for having the power to let go. While this may be an inspiration for some, for others it is a roadblock.i highly recommend this book as an addition to your journey of self-realization.

Disappointing
A lot of references to God. Great if that’s your belief. The writing was just ok but I found it to be boring. Not very deep or poetic. Left me disappointed.
