Atari Flashback Classics Collection Vol.1 (PS4)

Love retro gaming, oh the memories. Exactly what it says, some of the great classics of the early eighties brought bang up to date on your PS4. If you are buying this thinking it will have the graphics of modern games, then don't. It is simply a remake of the originals so that they play on the new console in HD.

Great. Fun. Entertaining game.I played many of these titles as a child, and also managed to be surprised by a few unknown gems too.A fun blast from the past.

One step over pencil and paper games, with Rubic cube difficulty at the easy levels.Yes Atari classics, yet another remastering collection. Have similar Atari collections for PS2' PSP and PS3. Absolutely no difference, except that the PSP has some excellent unlockables. This just has hard games.You are not going to sit there and remanice about lost quality, about lost hours, days and weeks of your life perhaps. If how ever you are sat with some friends and three or four beers in so that any failings can be blamed on the beer then this is ideal. Or f you are a parent wanting to punish you child. ' sit there and play u til you beat pong on hard ten times' with online gaming a constant distraction make this the gate keeper, it's similar to find out your 10 year old tried a cigarette and in the 70's fashion forcing them to smoke a full pack as a deterrent, and while they puke thier guts up begging to stop you nod in grime satisfaction that it hurts you more to do this than smoke them.This collection is like that.

Being 16 years older than my youngest sibling it was hilarious watching him try to get his head around the controls for the football game on this, and as for Pong he was mystified... "You played this for how long?"I have both volumes and for nostalgia, or showing kids of today how lucky they are when it comes to tech, both volumes are great. Loads of games included, some of which I had never heard of but most of which were a pleasant walk down memory lane. It's not a game/s I'll play daily but definitely won't be trading them in for something newer. I just fire them up from time to time for a bit of "blast from the past" fun. Older gamers will enjoy the memories these games evoke, younger gamers will be appalled at "how we suffered" either way it's a lot of fun.

I turned 50 in October and this game is such a flash back to the days of the console back in the 80’s love it 😍

Ordered both volumes 1 & 2 after watching a review online stating both came with a book explaining how to play all the games, controls, rules, object etc. Neither came with said info, just the discs inside the cases.

Not what I expected only 2 games I remember playing in the 80s none of the classic games like space invaders original asteroids defender breakout Pac-Man wouldn’t recommend buying it

Absolutely brilliant. My fella will love it. Used to love the Atari back in the day.
