BLACK+DECKER X40400 Vice Pegs 4 for Workmate

Arrived well before due date. Well packaged and product as described. In fact they were far more sturdy and robust than I expected. I had an old professional Black and Decker Workmate inherited from my father. The vice pegs had been lost on the way. I was concerned that because the workmate was so old these might not fir. They did fit like really well. Tight enough not to fall out. Perfect. Would definitely recommend. They are needed when you need to hold wood wider than than the main jaws of the workmate.

Excellent replacements for the original pegs on my 1976 (or thereabouts) vintage Workmate (orignally given to my Dad for a birthday but later passed on to me on his passing). These fit perfectly, look great, and with the remaining three original pegs, give me a very versatile set of possible holding patterns. They do exactly what they are designed for, and I was very pleased to find them and restore the functionality of my old faithful Workmate. Highly recommended AA

My Workmate is 40 years old. The original vice pegs are still good. These ones all broke within weeks. A useless product.

Pegs purchased as I'd misplaced the originals for a B&D Workmate 2. I've had this workmate for a lot of years and these fitted the holes perfectly, they were branded Piranha from B&D and look like the pegs on the newer workmates, which don't have the stick on rubber pads I had. Hopefully I won't misplace these and I can always use a but of rubber/card or the like if I want a little extra protection on the work pieces.

These are the sort of things with DIY equipment that frequently either get lost or damaged making the piece of kit either no longer useable or at best more difficult to use. I was unable to obtain them locally from any of the usual DIY shops so getting on line was the only answer. I have to say that these are absolutely the correct and original pegs and fit the now old Workbench perfectly giving it a new lease of life.

I was concerned that they would not fit my old and early version of the Work Mate, but there was no problem. The quality of the pegs looks very good. They are quite a bit thicker, which provides a better grip, but is not so good for holding thinner material for sanding, but I can use some older pegs for that. Very pleased to have these, as many of the pegs from my three workmates have been lost over the years.

Solid and durable looking vice pegs that should provide years of unassuming service. They are low profile (2cm proud from the bench, and 4.5 cms long), so they may not suit some applications where a taller pad would be beneficial. As the site photos show, they do not have rubber or foam protection for more delicate work, but it would be easy enough to add as and when necessary. They are useful little critters that give more flexibility with the workmate - the more, the merrier I would say (within reason, of course; the workmate only has so many holes after all!). Perfectly acceptable at the price.

Bought these pegs for additional grip when clamping wood and have to say they are larger and in fact superior to the original clamp pegs supplied with work mate they are a little snug fitting but they will wear themselves in with time ...far better than being too loose ..I love them best fiver I've spent .

Poco se puede decir, son los originales y van muy bien, pero hay alternativas más económicas, yo los compré reacondicionados y me salieron algo más baratos si no, no los hubiera comprado

Eccezionali molto più performanti rispetto ai vecchi blocchi di serraggio Blu in dotazione sui tavoli anni 70-80 (indistruttibili). per chi avesse ancora questi tavoli i gambo è qualche decimo più grande 19,8 mm contro 19,6-19,7 mm quindi si fa fatica a inserirli. dopo un paio di inserimenti si consumano e vanno alla perfezione oppure basta una minima carteggiata tanto da toglierli quel decimo di millimetro. Raccomandatissimi

Fit perfectly, have not used yet so don’t know how durable they will be. They seem solid enough though.

Habe diese Spannelemente in Verbindung mit einem Festool MFT (Multifunktionstisch) in Gebrauch. Jedenfalls passen diese ganz hervorragend (saugend) in die 20mm Löcher, keine Wackelei aber auch nicht zu stramm. - einfach perfekt.. Müssten demnach in alle Werkbänke mit 20mm Banklöchern passen. Um die Bohrungen im MFT nicht unnötig zu quälen habe ich nur diese kleinen Widerhaken am unteren Ende abgeschliffen; für meine Zwecke sind diese nicht erforderlich. Das Material macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck, Funktion super. Bin jedenfalls begeistert - klare Empfehlung!!
