I waited on reviewing this to see how it holds up. I think it has been a pretty sufficient amount of time. I have now dropped my phone quite a few times, from greater heights then when I broke my original note 8. My original note 8 probably dropped about a foot, and the corner cracked and split.This case definetly has improved my phone life and durability. I have no issues with design or manufacturing. I am a pretty loyal spigen fan, but I decided to give this a shot, after reading some questionable manufacturing errors in the spigen case. I do not regret getting this otterbox at all. You should pick this one up

It was easy to put on/take off. Has built-in port dust covers - more on that in a bit.What I like:Seems sturdy and well made as I've seen with other people's cases by Otterbox. (This is my first Otterbox product).What I'm not sure about yet:How long it will last - seems sturdy but the previous cases I've had by Speck also seemed sturdy but fell apart after about 12 months of use.How I like the dust port covers. They are nice for keeping lint/crud etc out of the ports... but... they are kind of a pain in the butt to move far enough out of the way to plug the charger or headphones in. Not the end of the world, and the benefit probably outweighs the negative... but still. Maybe just a little more flexibility in them would help.

I buy Otter Boxes for all the phones in our family. I paid for 7 cell phones as gifts. The first thing I do when I get a new phone is buy the Otter Box from the company from whom I get my phone. All three of my grand-kids had the Otter Boxes but did not use them because they said the Box was bulky. They all said "I won't drop my phone" They all dropped their phones and broke the screens within a four months. All you parents and grandparents love your kids but we all know they have to learn the hard way. Fortunately I didn't have to pay to fix their phones, their parents did. I've dropped my cell phone many times but never had a problem, not even once.

I needed a case that would fit in my Weathertech Cup Phone. My prior case was one of those aluminum and rubber military grade cases and it would not fit in the cup phone. I have to say that this otterbox commuter case is great. Great quality, easily fits into my pocket as well. I was sceptical but now I am sold.

Love this case! I was worried about how it would fit due to the mixed reviews I read, but mine fits perfectly. Its secure all the way around and fits like all my previous Otterbox cases. I'm happy to report it fits well with my Whitestone Dome tempered glass! At first I was afraid it'd push the glass up around the edges, but I was able to gently lift the rubber edges up over the glass for a perfect fit. Very happy with this purchase. Well worth the price for me!

I have had this Otter case for a few months now and I love it. It is sturdy and not bulky. I like that I can leave it on while charging as well as using in the mount in my car. I also appreciate that it covers up the slots for the auxiliary and charging ports. Great purchase.

I always feel my phone is safe in an OtterBox. And this one fits my new, and uber expensive Galaxy Not 8, so that's a great thing. All the ports work well and this is easily taken out of the case and put back in. The only thing I noticed is that it takes a bit more work to get the stylus free because of the depth of the case. Not a biggy, just noticed.i do recommend these cases when you are more interested in protection vs 'pretty.'

This replaces a cover that had been in use for over 2 years. Otterbox quality speaks for itself, and this model definitely keeps the phone and screen protector from harm.The seller was very prompt in shipping and there were no issues whatsoever. Would do business with them again.

The tabs/connector pieces at the bottom of the phone continually snap off. It is covered by an easy to use warranty, butttt it costs over 7$ shipping for them to send you a new one, and then the pieces just snap off again.Suddenly that 7$ shipping fee starts to seem high when you've paid it one, two three... Times.Wouldn't rebuy this.

I had to look for a long time before finding a case like this for my Galaxy Note 8. The exact outer hard-shell material of this case is something I needed specifically to attach a 3rd party adapter (quad lock).I love this case because it protects my phone from any accidental drops (which happens more often than you expect when you have kids, an active lifestyle, etc.), and also fits in my pocket even though it is beefier than a regular phone skin case.Putting the case on the phone and taking it off is also a breeze:Put on the soft rubber on the phone first, then snap on the hard outer shell. Done!As you can see in the pictures, I have a 3rd party adapter added on so I can attach and detach my phone to a quad-lock system on my bike and running arm-band. I trust this case to protect my phone when on runs, hikes, bike rides, and when my kids are playing with the phone.Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a case that will do the job of protecting their expensive phones, but also be easy to handle.The single drawback I would say is that the 4 corners with the exposed rubber of the case can have quite a bit of friction, which is good overall, but a little annoying when putting the phone in pockets and such. This is a minor issue for me, so I give this 5 stars!

The good: popsocket friendly, wireless charger compatible, keeps screen out of contact when layed down, keeps phone extremely safe, pen is still easy to get toThe bad: buttons get stiffer mixed with the weight of the phone can sometimes make it a small bit difficult to press said buttons, the phone becomes HUGE... stretchy jeans, cargo pants you name it this phone is still excessively big in my pockets.But the protection provided is worth it...

Good phone case. Bought for my note 8. The only reason why I took off 1 star is because of the construction of this case.The recess where you are supposed to be able to click out your s pen is very close. Sometimes the pen will get stuck when pulling it out, or trying to put it back in. Slightly annoying.

This case cracked under warranty, and even though the phone model is only a couple years old and the case is only 8 months old and still available to buy, they say they can't replace it and can offer 15% off a case for another phone.OtterBox has lost a loyal customer.
