GREAT PRODUCT and WELL WORTH BUYING
I'm completely new to breadmaking and decided on this model because it was reasonably priced and had excellent reviews. It also looked as though it was straightforward to operate and the fact that it has been around for a long time makes it a worthy choice. I haven't been disappointed and feel I made the right decision on the model. Results have been excellent and I'm delighted with my developing bread making skills. No more supermarket bread for me. I'm absolutely sold on this machine. 10/10 Morphy Richards.

Delightful alternative to the supermarket.
Extremely pleased with our bread maker. The manual is very user friendly and easy to follow. The plastic utensils are all you need and a nice quality. We made our first 1lb white loaf and used the delayed timer. It was very easy to wipe clean and remove the paddle. The LED display is very well placed giving easy access and is simple to use. The viewer in the top is a great feature to have as you can check the progress without opening. Our warm, breakfast loaf was delightful with a nice fine crispy crust. We are looking forward to making some of the other recipes like the rolls and pizza. It does all the hard work for you. A great alternative to the highly processed supermarket alternatives. I would definitely buy again.

Good value
Only used it once so far, made a basic white loaf that came out really nice. Compact size ,quite easy to operate. Not to impressed with the quality of the cup and measuring spoons that are supplied with it would have been better if they were stainless steel instead of plastic, but for the price can’t complain.

For the price the Morphy Richard’s bread machine is a very good buy
I had an expensive Panasonic some years ago and it made perfect bread of all kinds but it got too heavy for me to lift and eventually sold it. I missed a bread maker so chose this M.Richards model very reasonably priced but you have to get used to it and make tweaks where needed. The plain white loaf I found was too dense but toasted very well. My favourite is the French Loaf, it’s light and really tasty bread. I don’t use oil so swapped that for butter, turned out perfect. The Fruit Loaf was successful yesterday but would use double the mixed fruit and use mixed spice instead of the suggested nutmeg. Just a personal preference. The next one I will try is the Gluten Free loaf for my daughter, let’s see how that turns out. A good tip is that you need to lightly butter the inside of the tin and the paddle before adding ingredients making it so much easier to remove loaf when baked and the paddle doesn’t stay in the bottom of the loaf. The machine is much quieter than the Panasonic and doesn’t move on my work surface when mixing, I keep mine permanently on the kitchen side as these days it’s much easier now I’m in my 80’s. Love baking and it’s a real pleasure to make my own bread again as shop bought bread is so awful. Yes I recommend this bread maker,I think for the price it’s exceptionally good value. Happy bread making!

Great bread maker
Brilliant bread maker. It does exactly what it promises. We have always bought the Panasonic bread maker before and this time we decided that the price of the Panasonic was just too much for what we used it for. Had this bread maker a couple of weeks and it makes great bread x a nice looking machine too

Nice little bread maker
While bread makers are never as good as doing it by hand (ain't nobody got time for that) this is so much easier. Just dump all the ingredients in and leave it. I use the 1.5lb loaf setting and it's perfect for just me and my OH. Easy to use. The paddle doesn't get stuck in the loaf which had been an issue with my last machine. For a fairly cheap(ish) price it's good value.

Don’t buy this
This is the third Fastbake I have owned. The previous two gave 10 years each of great bread making before giving up. Sadly, this one has proved unable to bake anything but a partly cooked, only partially risen loaf before refusing to turn on at all. Fuses and ring main were fine, it was definitely the bread maker. At least part of the problem seems to be that the machine has been changed in some way. It came with very different recipes, for example only 3/4 teaspoon of yeast for the large wholemeal loaf, compared with 1 1/4 teaspoons previously. In addition, it came with an addendum on a separate sheet specifying that room temperature should be between 15 and 34 degrees (no problem with that) but also that all ingredients should be warmed to 21 degrees. Since I don’t heat my house to that high a temperature this was pretty well impossible in cold weather, and in any case the ingredients would need to be taken out of the cupboard to warm up for ages before starting to bake. Also new is that the water for the loaf should be between 21 and 37 degrees, with a recommendation that a thermometer is used for all liquids, i.e. water and oil, thus making a palaver out of something I used to be able to do pretty much on auto pilot after all these years. I contacted their customer services about the changes and the response indicated that the changes related to the ‘updated’ machine. When I asked how and why the machine had changed the response was that all the information was in the instruction booklet, which it isn’t. So after recommending the machine to friends and family over the years, all of whom have had great results, I can no longer recommend it. I have returned it and bought a different make.
