The Lean Six Sigma Pocket Toolbook: A Quick Reference Guide to 100 Tools for Improving Quality and Speed (CAREER (EXCLUDE VGM))

Definitive pocket guide
This is a small, but very handy reference that supports the other Lean Six Sigma (LSS) books from the George Group. It contains virtually all of the detail needed by a LSS practitioner (for Black Belts & Green Belts), but keeps an easy to digest style. It scores over the other pocket guides on the market (there are many) because it is a 'proper' book (not a wire bound pad) and has an easy to read text size. The theory is filled out with simple examples. It also maintains the balance between Lean and Six Sigma tools and provides the detail needed for both.

Ideal pocket reference
This book does what it says on the cover. It is not for beginners, it is not a how to, but is a reference guide with solid and well written information on tools. Therefore this book will be of most benefit to those already having clear understanding on how to approach and run lean or six sigma projects to improve processes.I found the book tended towards tools more associated with six sigma, and also contained quite a lot of more advanced tools, such as ones related to measurement system analysis. That said the parts related to lean tools are well written and accurate, but clearly there is much more to creating a lean environment than the few tools described here. Conclusion: this should not be your only lean or six sigma book, but it should be one of them, and at its current price it's a bargain.

Looks a useful guide
Just finished my green belt training, bought this to remind me about which tools were available per DMAIC phase, looks to be spot on, will know more over the next few weeks as I scope and deliver my first green belt project.

All the basic knowledge you need for bigginers
What’s not to like, simple explanations, easy to follow, small enough to carry around with you on the shop floor & a fountain of knowledge at your fingertips.

Ok for an introduction to Six Sigma
This is ok for an introduction to six sigma but I wouldn't recommend it if you want something more. Don't buy the kindle version for you iPad because the page numbers are not visible on the pages nor in the index so it is difficult to look up a topic. If buying I would get the hard copy.

Keeps your six sigma tools sharp!
A great book full of useful reminders on the tools for six sigma, which most people forget about if you don’t use them all the time. The only downside is it’s not quite as pocket sized as I was expecting, when compared to other six sigma Memory Joggers I have.

lean sigma pocket toolbox
This is an excellent collection of statistical tools for lean continious improvement & Kaizen projects. They assist with data collection on known issues and enable readers to select the continious improvement project that will yield the best results. Book for revision not self teaching
This is not a training document. It is a revision / reminder document to prompt the reader on the tools available with a few hints on how to use them. This is why I bought it.
