Works well with mouse, can be paired on Linux using Solaar app.
I wanted this for use with a Logitech Pebble 2 M350s mouse on a Linux laptop. Whilst Bluetooth connection worked, the mouse movement was very jittery and unsatisfactory. This device solved the problem. It is possible to pair the mouse to the receiver in Linux (specifically Kubuntu 24.04) by using software called Solaar, which should be in your app manager. I had to remove the mouse from Bluetooth devices, switch off Bluetooth on the laptop, plug in the USB receiver, open Solaar and follow the instructions to pair, after which it works perfectly. Also note, up to 6 devices can be connected using this method (as you can if using Windows and the Logitech app).

Solved keyboard bluetooth issues - Highly Recommended!
I had originally connected both my MX Keys S keyboard and MX Master 3S mouse to my Mac Mini via bluetooth. I found the keyboard would occasionally be unresponsive or loose keystrokes. Now that I've connected the keyboard via the Bolt USB receiver the keyboard is working perfectly. In theory I could also connect the mouse to the same receiver but I haven't tried it, preferring to leave well alone :-).

Annoyed I had to purchase this separately but works
I am somewhat annoyed that I had to purchase this separately for a new Anywhere 3S mouse so I could use it on a computer without bluetooth. Works however.

Does not work with USB switch boxes
Unlike its predecessor (the Unifying receiver with a red star), Logitech expect this receiver to be plugged in directly to your computer. They do not support the use of USB hubs or switch boxes! I use a switchbox (UGREEN) to move my devices between a home and work computer. The work computer is locked down, so installing Logitech software is off the table. The Unifying receiver worked perfectly, but this new Bolt receiver refuses to work at all, unless I plug it directly into one computer or the other. This makes it spectacularly useless in my situation.

Ingenious tech
Needed this to connect my Logitech MX mouse to my laptop whilst on the desk. Just downloaded the Logi app, plugged the Bolt in and one mouse now controls both my PC and laptop at the touch of a button. it has full functionality and there is no lag in connection.

Fine but uncessesary
Item is fine, but it's advertised as USB 2.0 but it's USB C. Thank God I have a spare USB C port... And I HAD to buy this as the MX Master 3S mouse I bought was advertised as having the USB Receiver and cable included but I had to buy these seperately. Shoddy QA.

Once this little Bolt USB receiver is actually paired, it works flawlessly. I switched my MX Master from Bluetooth to the Bolt dongle, and the difference was immediate—way smoother, way more stable, and none of the random lag spikes I’d been quietly tolerating. Five stars for performance. Now… the pairing process. This part felt like Logitech accidentally sent me on a time-travel mission back to 1997. I’ve dealt with IRQ conflicts and jumper pins that made more sense than what happened here. When you switch your MX mouse from Bluetooth to Bolt (Easy-Switch Slot 2 → Slot 1 in my case), Windows pops up a tiny “Click to Pair” window. Cute idea, except the moment you put the mouse in pairing mode… the Bluetooth connection drops. And since you haven’t paired with Bolt yet, you now have no mouse to click the button that pairs the mouse. Beautiful little Catch-22. If you have a wired mouse lying around, that’s by far the easiest route. Just plug it in, click the pairing prompt, and you’re done. But if you don’t… welcome to the workaround. Pro tip before you begin: Before switching your MX mouse into Bolt pairing mode, place your cursor as close to the bottom-right corner of the screen as possible. The pairing popup appears there, and once Bluetooth disconnects you’ll be using Windows’ numeric keypad “mouse,” which moves at the speed of a tranquilized turtle. Here’s how I escaped the loop: Press Left Alt + Left Shift + Num Lock → this turns on Windows Mouse Keys. Your numeric keypad now becomes your temporary mouse. 2/4/6/8 to move 5 to click Use the numpad to crawl your way to that tiny pairing prompt and hit 5. Once paired, turn Mouse Keys off the same way. After that? Smooth sailing. The receiver works exactly as advertised and completely fixes the Bluetooth quirks. Bottom line: The device is excellent. Logitech just designed a pairing method that assumes your mouse is already paired… while you’re trying to pair it. Once you get past that paradox, everything works perfectly. If you’re switching from Bluetooth to the Bolt dongle, don’t give up—just use the secret Windows mouse hack (or a wired mouse if you have one) and you’re golden.
