Blind Filter /Blanking Disc

Love the fact that flavour is a sub category for this item. Definitely, if you try making coffee with this, you will be disappointed. That said, it fits in my Rocket portafilter and allows me to back-flush with cleaning tablets, which are also one star for flavour. Other than that, it seems to be a decent blank basket. It does the job and quality seems to be on a par with the non-blank ones that came with my espresso machine.

Works well on my Gaggia Classic (pre-2015). It has a nice and tight seal around the group head and it fits in the portafilter with a snug fit. It's a tad shallow which is the reason for 4 stars. However, it's deep enough to fit some detergent such as Cafiza for back flushing.

Powerful, good value

Does what it's supposed to do. Used in conjunction with Cafiza coffee equipment cleaner this should help keep the coffee flowing. Expensive for what it is, but a necessity. Regular back flushing and cleaning of your portafilter, filter baskets and screen should keep your machine in good working order. This should come as standard in the box with the machine as cleaning the solenoid valve is as important as de-scaling. I only found out about it when the flow through the portafilter stopped and had to look for a solution on line and realised I should be clearing the valve of coffee resin build up as well as cleaning the filter baskets, one of which I had to replace due to excessive clogging.

Doesn’t work on Gaggia Classic Pro - it is too big and gets stuck to the group head, as pointed out in several other reviews (which I didn’t read before buying…)

Perfectly adequate quality. Not much that can go wrong with it. I back flushed my old Gaggia Classic with it and I guess this'll last longer than I will (unless I lose it).

I am leaving this review simply to remove any doubt for other 2019 Gaggia Classic Pro owners. I am specifically talking about: Gaggia Classic 2019 SB SS 240V | Manual Espresso Coffee Machine, SKU RI9480/18 TL;DR: Don't buy. This basket gets stuck onto the grouphead. It fits into the stock portafilter, but then when you try to lock in the portafilter, the basket gets wedged into the grouphead and stuck there. You'll find yourself using a flathead screwdriver to jimmy it out. No quality complaints otherwise.
