Would this be suitable as a vinegar shaker?

It doesn't have a "pin-prick" hole as the tops of "fish 'n' chip shop" vinegar dispensers do. It has a small hole but is designed to shake a good slug of dressing onto your salad. Having said that, the hole isn't huge and if you make a very thick dressing, it doesn't work so well - so maybe it would suit your purpose.

Is this dishwasher safe - including the stopper? Thanks :-)

The glass container is fine for the dishwasher. I used to put the rubber stopper in as well, but it finally cracked after much use. Not sure if it was related to the dishwasher though. Have since bought another Eva Solo unit and now clean by hand by adding a squirt of washing liquid, piece of kitchen paper and few drops of water. Close the container with the stopper and shake vigorously, the oily surface is very quickly cleaned,

Does this product come boxed?

It wasn't in a presentation box, but it arrived packaged in a box when delivered, if that's what you mean - so no chance of breakage.

Is it madr of glass or plastic?

Not a great product. It drips and not ideal for oils. The product itself is glass -to answer your question
