Still hanging in there two and a half years on...
I purchased two of these packs back on 27 Feb 2012, yes it's been that long and now I have decided to leave a review. A lot of people will think these are just a gimmick and probably be scared to hang anything using these strips. All I'm going to say is think again and give them a try. I did and have no regrets. Two and a half years on 12 of the 13 items I used the strips on are still hanging up on the walls and in that time have not fallen off the wall, fact. The one that did was not a picture frame but a 35cm x 60cm hanging Egyptian mat. The strips we placed on the wall were still in place but the ones we stuck onto the mat came off. The fabric sticks to strips for a while but the problem is the sticky surface on the back of the strip pulls at the fabric. The mat can defy gravity for so long before the weight of it will make it pull away from the strip and what your left with is a mat on the floor and the strips still on the wall stuck together with bobble on the back...if that makes any sense :-) The rest of the picture frames hanging up range from a 88cm x 57cm glass oak framed picture to a small 20cmx15cm. We used 6 large strips for the big picture frame and one medium sized for the smallest. All are still going strong. We were too chicken to hang up a mirror but seeing how the others have held up after this much time we might just order some more of these strips and give it a shot. Our wall is a brick wall which has been plastered and then painted over. We stuck the strips directly onto the painted wall. We haven't tried on wallpaper so cannot say how these strips work on wallpaper. All I'm going to say is make sure you measure out correctly exactly where you want your frames to hang first including where the strips are going to be on the wall and on the back of the frame. Mis-alignment will just waste time and if you keep removing the strips and sticking them back on then you might end up with a few wasted strips. When we received these I stuck every single strip on a wall space, all strips were close together. Then throughout the day I kept sticking the other half of the strips to my wife's back and bottom. Bless her she didn't have a clue. During the evening I made up some excuse and got her close to the wall where the strips were stuck on. I leaned her against the wall and pressed her back against it and walked away. She remained stuck to the wall for a couple of minutes before she pulled herself away. It was hilarious, I've never received so many death threats in the two minutes she was stuck there than in my whole life. So you see these have more uses. Who say's us oldies can't have a laugh at 65?

Still working years later
These are a great way to hang pictures without damaging the wall. They can be removed easily when needed without leaving any marks. I’ve had pictures up on the wall for years which are still holding strong. I’ve also recently used them to put my indoor ring camera up which has worked great! I would definitely recommend and I will be buying more for the rest of my frames.

Great product, just make sure you read the instructions when using them for the first time!
Excellent product. Was hesitant to use these as am living in rented accommodation as a student, and am eager not to have to repair damages at the end of my tenancy. Was drawn to these as many other students are advised to use this brand by their landlords, and am glad I tried them. Easy to attach to the photos that I wanted to mount on the walls. Was a little unsure of how many and which size to use for my photos, as I didn't know how much they weighed, and had no way of weighing them, however I played around and usually 4 sets of the small ones or 2 sets of the medium ones was enough for a decently weighted a4 size frame or canvas. Had a little trouble sticking them to the walls at first, as I forgot to take the picture down after attaching the strips to the wall, however all sorted once I realised why they weren't sticking too well. Has stayed up on the wall since with absolutely no problems. Can't advise on removal as they've only been up for a few weeks now, but pleased so far. And the value pack was a great sample size to try it out, will definitely be ordering more if any wall space becomes available!

It's the future of hanging stuff.... but it's not perfect.
I loved the idea of these, being able to hang stuff without having to put holes in the walls, and well having had a couple of pictures fall off the walls, when doors have been slammed etc. I thought I would give these a go. It works on a 'Velcro' type design and the details suggested it could hold 2/3lbs in weight, so putting the picture on the scales and it not even registering 1lb I thought 'BRILLIANT', then I read further, they shouldn't be used above beds or with valuable pictures, so even from their description they aren't very confident of their ability. I carried on reading the instructions (very unlike me) and it suggested using 4 pairs of strips for 1 picture, which I think would mean I would get 3 pictures up with this pack...damn the nail idea is proving a lot cheaper now. Anyway, I ignored the suggestion and carried on with just 2 pairs of strips and the first one went up so easy, I had to re-read the instruction to make sure I hadn't missed anything. I got cocky and got another 2 pictures up in seconds.. (well minutes as you have to wait a minute to rehang the picture but you get the idea), but alas the 4th picture didn't go to plan with 2 of the strips coming off the wall when you peel the picture back. All in all, I think they are a great idea, the way forward instead of spending how long drawing lines all over your walls, making sure the nail(s) are all straight and then the things fail anyway and leave a hole in the wall when you decide to decorate. Maybe when they come down in place a bit it will change the way we hang stuff!!! It's the Future...but it's not perfect yet.

Great alternative to picture hooks.
Great idea, used for different size frames. Easy to install and holds the frames well. Even hold larger heavy frames wioit any problems. Make sure you follow the instructions to make sure the strip stick to the wall properly. Very easy to remove without damage to the frame or wall.

Forget Bluetack
Well forget about bluetack, white tack, hammering your walls, sellotape etc - where have I been. If you need something strong to hang up your posters, pictures even frames on your wall without leaving a scar on your wall (that's right I said scar) then look no further. This beautiful thing is so strong that once you attach it to whatever you want to hang it is superglued. It's a match made in heaven. Not only that when you remove it - the wall has no scar so your Landlord can't charge you a million pounds to fix the wall. It is so easy to use, clean and efficient. What a life saver - I love you COMMAND. I don't know why your still reading - get buying you won't be sorry, believe me.

I think we're addicted to these!
Since moving into a new home we've been busy putting up pictures and mirrors all over the place. I didn't want to go the hassle of trying to find studs in walls and all that rubbish so we opted for some command strips. These are just a godsend, we've bought probably 8 packs of different sizes so far including the nail head version and they've all worked perfectly. Nothing has fallen down, we've had no wastage they've just been great. The majority of these have been on painted surfaces I might add rather than paper. I'm sure they would work on paper but you're relying upon the strength of the paper really rather than the command strip! We followed the instructions on the packet but actually gave it 24 hours before hanging anything just to be on the safe side and as I say they've been great. We've hung pictures of various sizes, prints of various sizes, a bathroom mirror, and a large clock although we used the nail head version for this. Good product but dreadful instructions and very expensive for what you get
I bought these some while ago intending to use on wallpaper, only to discover on receiving the pack that these are not recommended for use on wallpaper. Found a use for them on glass this weekend (Aug bank holiday 2019). It is only when you study the product that it becomes clear that Command Strips are actually Velcro-type pads fixed one to picture and one to wall at each fixing point. So you need 1 pair for each point of fixing. Most pictures will need at least 2, and many will need 4. The product is only sold in packs with 8 pairs of medium and 4 pairs of small strips. I need 6 pairs of small strips, so I find I need to buy a second pack to get the total components I need. The instructions are poorly printed, fuzzy in very small type and don’t make it very clear how the product is to be used. I am an experienced DIY-er and worked out for myself that I needed to put one strip on the back of the picture and one on the wall at each point of fixing, and that means I need 1 pair per point of fixing. Potentially, this is a winning product but I can only give it 3 stars (a) because of dreadful instructions and (b) due to cynical marketing ploy of bundling sizes together instead of making them available separately. Outrageously expensive if you need to hang many items.

Una certezza
Li acquisto e li riacquisto. Non mi è mai capitato che non tenessero. Alcuni quadri sono appesi da almeno 5 anni e non si sono mai mossi di li. Ottimi. Ovviamente bisogna seguire le istruzioni riguardo al peso!

3M Picture Hanging Strips
I'm motivated and serious amateur photographers who mostly shoot portrait for my kids and families. I also shoot landscapes while traveling so I do print lots of large size from 16-24in to 30-40inch and frames them in foam boards for wall hanging. Before I discover this product, I have to rely on nails and strings which are not only expensive, hard to make it right, very time consuming to install. But worst of all, my walls get damaged with nail holes and marks. After further research, I decide to get this product and instantly fell in love with it. I swear that I will never go back to nails again ever. Why it works is the fact that the Velcro is plenty strong to hold my photos in foam boards. For a photo of 20-30in, I am confident enough to use 4 medium strips to hold it strongly against the wall. Indeed, I've done 3-5 of them for over 3 months and none of the frames fall or even move since. I will recommend a large strip for a larger prints though. The cost is also cheap, the total 8 strips (4 pairs) costs ~$5 and more importantly, it takes me < 5min to install. No nails, tools or strings are needed. Best yet, the strip is easily removed without damage your wall. I simply follow the instruction to hold one non-stick end of the strip and pull it slowly along the wall, the strip magically got off the wall nicely without any trace. Tip: the best steps I learn to install the strip are below: 1) For every pair, face and stick the fabric sides (not the adhesive surface) together. Repeat this step for all pairs you would like to use for the frame. I use 4 pairs for each frame. 2) Lay down your frame with the picture side faces down, so the back side will face upward. 3) Line up in 4 pairs on the 4 corners of the back side, then start to remove the strip's paper which covers the adhesive surface and then stick it to the frame. Repeat this step for all pairs. 3) Remove the remaining adhesive side of the strips which you will stick to the wall. 4) Now, you can hold the frame up against the wall and ask a helper (friends, partner, etc) to stand behind and check for the alignments while you're adjusting the frame. Even without helper, you could apply the slight pressure so the sticky strip can stay against the wall while you step back to view it. Just BE CAREFUL when you do this as the frame can fall if it's too heavy. 5) Once you're ready, simply apply a bit of pressure to the corners where the strips are located and voila, your frame is beautifully place. Enjoy your photo!
