brilliant and the smell is lush

I love the smell of this product (others comment on it throughout the day!) my hair curls well with it. Leaving the curls defined. Doesn’t leave it greasy, but it does leave it a little crispy. (Not an issue)Have tried so many products, but glad I have found the Cantu range. Great product for a reasonable price.

treated my hair like more of a hair mask . just have to make sure you dont put too much product in , make sure its evenly spread . but smells very nice and lasts a while

Pros:1. Smells great.2. Really does work well with curly/wavy curly hair3. Can still easily sculpt hair, whilst it looks natural and dry instead of wet and slingy.4. Don't have to blow dry, can leave it in and have it dry naturally and then just scrunch.5. Washes out easily.Cons: I don't really have any.I'm a guy, have grown my hair out on top (have a low fade on side and back) to about my mouth. My gf loves my wavy curly hair so I've gorwn it out. Have used a cream from italy for years, but with the length of my hair, I have not liked how it makes my hair look stringy, I had to blow dry my hair every day, and it didn't last/would look bad if the wind was bad. This has been a game changer for me. I can leave it in semi wet, the wind can blow, and i can sculpt when needed and it keeps my natural wave structure without it making it feel heavy and stringy. Love this product. And the size of the jar is big so it will last you a while.

Update June 2026 - I still recommend and stand by my original review, It’s a product that’s worked for years. I know the cream doesn’t agree with loads of Afro-natural hair (and they’d probably recommend another brand 😄) but it’s worked wonders for me (I do use other curling cream brands alongside this one too, but it’s still my main fav).*(I also have low porosity fine hair).—I’ve been using Cantu Curling Cream for YEARS! I recommend this hands down, it’s never let me down.Picture of my hair included for reference!My hair type is mainly 3c (small sections of 3B at the front) and this works on all the textures my hair has.This cream gives me the curl definition I want and the its VERY moisturising. And, I use this with the LOC method for maximum moisture.I use the cream with my staple oils: Wild Hair Growth Oil, Castor Oil, Grapeseed Oil and a spray bottle of water (always the first thing before manipulating my hair) and it works great. Can be layered with a leave in conditioner too.+ A denman brush, Wide tooth comb ect ect.It also smells very nice in the container and on your hair, it has a pleasant coconut aroma.It’s very smooth and thickish, I’m heavy handed so I like to lather it on throughout my hair.* twist outs, braid outs and wash and go’s + numerous other Afro styles works great with this.I recommend buying this on Amazon as it’s so much cheaper to purchase, compared to buying it in Black hair shops. I buy 2-3 at a time as it’s cheaper for me to do so.I would definitely recommend this product. I’ve had 0 problems with it and it works so well (for me anyways). Also, I **ESPECIALLY** recommend this to those of us with Afro textured hair.
