Jaipur Living Basis Handloom Solid Blue Area Rug (3'6" X 5'6")

If you look at the thumbnail pics of this rug on this product page, and place your cursor on them to zoom in and expand, you'll note that this rug is anything BUT snow white. In fact, I would call the color more of a taupe (even more taupe in person than in the thumbnails), which was a relief to me. A snow white rug is a disaster for the floor, as it would be almost impossible to keep from showing dirt and dust. I have a dog and four of us living in the house. Even though we usually remove our shoes inside, solid light-colored rugs tend to look pretty sooty fairly quickly.This is a beautiful hand loomed rug made of wool and viscose, which sits nicely on the floor. Even though it was rolled up, there were no curled or erratic edges when it was unfurled. It is soft and plush beneath my feet, and lovely to look at. You cannot put this in a machine---it will need to be professionally cleaned.The tone and color of this rug will likely blend with any room, and add an elegance to the flour and decor. I intend to enjoy it for years to come. It will need an adjustment, like most rigs, to keep it from slipping. Rather than add a non-slip rug, I will add a 100% silicone rug caulk to keep it firm on my tile.
