Just what i needed i reprogram and work just find. FYI: I USE TO WORK FOR A SECURITY FIRM AND KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING. IF YOU DONT KNOW PROGRAMING DONT TRY.

Purchased to replace a similar (older) unit that got fried. This one works much better than the old...is much more responsive, and has better range. I also like the tri-color LED as well, as the old one was red only. Installation was straight forward, but some electrical know-how will be needed.

I installed this with my Vista 10 system, it works great with and has very good wireless range. Very useful when the kids get home from school they can come in the garage and turn off the alarm, so far so good. If they lose the remote I can remove the programming instead of re-keying the house!

Works like a charm. The shipper (not Amazon) was a little slow in shipping, but arrived on stated time. Honeywell's instructions were not as complete as expected, but after talking to an experience installer, determined what the programming problem was.

My alarm has remotes, but the range is awful and the garage door wasn't hooked up. So I bought this and went through the install, which was kind of a pain. One issue is that you're supposed to wire the indicator light to the common, but the wire isn't near long enough and there's not a plug on the harness. You probably have to buy extra wire and connectors and splice it in like I did. After I got it installed, the unit indicated it was working but it would not arm or disarm the alarm at first. The instructions aren't very helpful as far as how to enable the addressing on the Honeywell alarm units, or what that even means. I woudn't expect it to go into detail on every manufacturer's system but this is a Honeywell unit so there should be more info there in regards to Honeywell alarms. There is a Honeywell tech support number to call, but they won't talk to you unless you're a registered installer business. I found better instructions online at sites that explained how this all worked, and had to unplug the alarm to get the installer code. Then I was able to enter the addressing function and enable it, and then when I went through the enabling procedure again on the CE3 it started working. The range is very good, the garage door works, and the indicator light works as it should. So everything is great, but I docked a star just because there wasn't nearly enough info in the instructions. If they're going to sell these to the general public, the instructions should be written for that audience instead of professional installers. Oh and my installer code was completely different from any of the default ones I found online, so if you can't get into installer mode on your unit then you'll have to power your alarm down to get the unit into installer mode. That means powering it down at the alarm box - you can't just remove power wire from the alarm panel.

This is a great product. I use it to remotely arm and disarm my alarm system. Easy to connect,register, and sync remotes

The item works without any problems. Easy to replace the old item and install the new one. Has good operating range when the antenna is extended outside of the control box.
