These buckles are great quality and exactly what I was looking for! The only set back is that they are not meant for dogs who are heavy pullers or lunge unexpectedly. I use these buckles for making dog collars and my dog broke his after 1 month of continuous use. While that isn't that short of a time to have a self made product, it's frustrating that these are used for my Etsy shop and charity donations. I will be buying much sturdier hardware next time, but these do get the job done if they won't have pressure or strain on them

These buckles are your typical plastic buckles you would find on lanyards that have a separate section, that allows you to release your badge without taking off the lanyard. We are making lanyards for our upcoming cruise. It’s handy to have one of these break away buckles so you don’t have to hand your entire lanyard to the bar tender or waiter. It’s easy to open and doesn’t feel like it will fall apart. When you release the buckle, the other side tends to pop out and fly across the room if you have nothing attached to it. I can speak from experience. :) So you should not have any issues with it releasing when you need it to. I would buy again if I had a need for them in the future. If I run into any problems using them on my next cruise, I will update the review.
