Works well but no lights work
It’s a little cheaply made but it works well for tracing wires through walls and drop ceilings. Once the 9v battery is installed, there are no indicator lights showing that it is on. The signal was working after connecting and pressing the test button. You have to power both parts off or the battery will run out.

The seller resent my order and the new one works just fine.
The seller kindly offered a free replacement and it works as expected.After installed batteries, I pushed the test button. It beeped a few times, then did not work any more. So I cannot use it to trace wires. Completely useless. Waste of money!

Don't buy
Do not buy this. Very cheaply made. Hell, the battery cover on both is worthless and strops out. Neither unit works as it should. Will never buy from seller again

Get what you pay for
This kind of works it has a lot of static noise and the direction are not very clear. Mainly got it just to try it to see if this type of tool will get enough use to justify buying a more expensive one only time will tell. If you just need to use it once or twice this will probably be fine.
