Q: Can this wire be used for speakers?

No it CANNOT be used for speakers. This is WRONG information. You should be using thicker gauge with no shielding (pos/neg only) for watt level signal. This cable will fry over time if you use it for any speaker with decent wattage. Unless you’re using it for line level to a powered speaker, in which case this is the cable you’re looking for. Do not use this cable for passive speakers!

Q: Will this work for lighting? also what is the ohm rating?

This will not work for lights. You need a DMX cable. The connectors looks the same but the cable is different inside. XLR (mic) cable will cause the light to go crazy and unresponsive. Hope this help.
