No Framelines
I ignored all the other bad reviews thinking “well it’s cheap, as long as it functions that’s fine”Well, it’s cheap relative to the insane $250 official Ricoh GR viewfinder, but still too overpriced. This should cost $2 it’s so badThe plastic lens distorts the image like you’re looking through the bottom of a coke bottle, the field of view isn’t correct, and there are no frame lines so you can’t use this in any accurate way for framing so it has no practical use.I might try to etch in my own frame lines to salvage it, but I would not recommend buying

It's very rinkydink but works
Its just a plastic cube that sits in the hot shoe. Perfect for my Instax Mini Evo. It's pretty close to the same frame lines in terms of FOV.

Absolute unmitigated rubbish
This is horrible. You can barely see through it, the frame lines are invisible, the whole thing resembles looking through the bottom of a glass bottle! The worst thing I have ever purchased on Amazon.. Not worth 50 cents. It lasted about 45 seconds on my Ricoh GRlllx before I instituted a return.

Better than expected
Yes, this 28mm viewfinder is all plastic in construction but honestly it’s sturdy enough, with the benefit of being extremely small and light. It doesn’t wobble or flex and it seats very firmly in a hot shoe. I have similar viewfinders from other manufacturers which are better made but they seem poorly matched to the tiny Leica II film camera I use this on. The view through this is perfectly clear and bright; the reason some people think it’s blurry is because it acts like it has a dioptric adjustment built in. I’m nearsighted and if I look through this with my glasses on, it’s blurry. But without my glasses it seems to correct for my vision and the view is tack sharp, so it’s actually a benefit for me. I also have the 35mm version of this which does not have this diopter correcting effect, so when I use that one I keep my glasses on. So depending on your vision this may or may not be for you, but I’m happy with it especially for the low price.

Boarderline
Usable but very much out of focus - most likely will not use it. Have the 35mm viewer and it's decent.

El visor no es muy claro
La zona de enfoque no esta bien definida

Such a simple part what could go wrong?
I really can’t understand how the manufacturer messed this up. But somehow, this little viewfinder came out blurry.I bought it because it looked like a cute little accessory for my Lumix GF 1 camera. It fits nicely in the slot on top of my camera because my camera does not have a viewfinder. I thought this would help lineup photos in bright sunlight. You can still do that, but it’s annoying how blurry this is and it makes you not want to use it at all. You win some and you lose some. Sorry to say, this one definitely was a loss. When you manufacture photography related equipment one thing you should strive for is clarity in an optic, even if it’s plastic. Yep, this one falls short.
