In August & September, when yellowjackets are thriving, they are all over this feeder and annoying the heck out of the hummingbirds. Product description says bees can't get in through the ports, but yellowjackets CAN and then drown in the sugar water as they can't get out. Because it's shallow, it requires frequent refilling. It also took the hummingbirds awhile to figure out how to use, but eventually they did. Not sure I could recommend this.
