Hello, and thank you for your question. What's "better" is a matter of preference, of course. The clear (hard) case is simply a transparent version of our other colored cases. The clear (soft) style is our bestselling case. It's made of a slightly thicker (1/10 of an inch) material that's more "grippy" and offers better shock absorbency for drops. I hope this is helpful.
