Gets the job done!
I bought these primarily for hamstring curls and hip flexor lifts. Once you learn how to use the straps properly, they are as secure as they need to be. Position them right and they feel secure. Yeah there can be a small amount of discomfort from the strap, but nowhere near intolerable. Learn to use them right, and save yourself some $$ over other brands.

Works well with 15 and 20 pound dumbbells
I'm 6'2" tall and weigh 200 lbs. I've been using these GymKicks with 15 and 20 pound dumbbells. These dumbbell ankle straps appear to be well made and I suspect they will last a long time. It is easy to cinch a dumbell tight to the bottom of your shoe. It is very secure, and I have no concern about the dumbbell slipping or falling off. The ankle cuff is comfortable. There are no hard spots or places that dig in when I use them.I got these GymKicks to replace another dumbbell ankle strap. My old ankle strap had a shorter length of velcro that didn't have much overlap. I was concerned the velcro would slip and the dumbbell would drop. I don't have that concern with these GymKicks. They have nice long velcro strap with plenty of overlap. These GymKicks have two straps and two buckles to secure the dumbbell. There are other ankle strap designs that use a single strap and buckle to secure the dumbbell. I've used both. The advantage of the single strap design is that you only have to feed one strap through a buckle when you attach a dumbbell. The disadvantage is you have to completely remove the strap from the dumbbell to remove your foot. Two strap designs like the GymKicks take a little longer to initially set up, but you can leave the ankle straps attached to the dumbell. When you want to remove your foot, all you have to do is undo the velcro around your ankle. I have dumbells reserved just for leg work, so I prefer the GymKicks that I can leave attached to the dumbells. If you don't have that luxury and need your dumbbells for multiple different exercises, you might prefer the single strap design.

Not user friendly
Putting weights on is a hassle.

Not happy
I got this to use instead of ankle weights, but they are so difficult to keep a small dumbbell under my feet, so it doesn’t move. The wrap around the ankle is too big for my ankles as I am XS all around my body, and it doesn’t give me enough support. Also, for some reason which I want to understand, my ankle weights feel so much lighter than the dumbbells even when I use the same weight and I put them on the same place under my feet as I do with the dumbbells with this device.

Easy to use and work as expected
So happy I found these. My limited gym in my condo building was frustrating me and having these allows me to perform more lifts easily. Comfortable for the weight I have done, which isn’t a lot to be fair, but the most important thing is it’s easy to put them on and add weight so I can quickly move through my workout.

Just ok
These are great idea but do have some flaws. If you want to change weights in kinda a pain and time consuming. The weights tend to move a bit when doing leg extensions. Overall worth the price if no leg extension machine available. Good for hamstring curls too.

Really versatile, great accessory!
I keep seeing these, or other stuff like it and decided to pull the trigger. These don't have a full clamp onto the dumbbell or onto your shoes, but are instead a bit of a strap and cuff system - which I like better. No ski boot setup to get in and out of for me. I've tested them up to 45lb dumbbells for leg curls and extensions, and while I doubt they're rated to go much heavier than that, they work out nicely and hold up well. The one thing you'll be limited by perhaps is the ability for you to strap the weight to your foot properly. A regular dumbbell works out ideally - but one of the multi-functional pairs like the big square ones wouldn't work out very well for this, as you wouldn't be able to affix it properly. Really, this is just a great add-on for a garage gym enthusiast who wants some added versatility without a lot of space or cost associated. Highly recommended.
