So far I love this book. It's a great reference and has already enriched my drawing skills.

Good examples of various poses and angles

Great addition!

Some of the examples used are of female figures. The body comparisons are unwelcome but fine. I am referring to the other examples, they are not helpful and should have been men as advertised.

I thought I was in for a treat, but nooooooooo! Mundane and plain jane artwork that is not a bit interesting. I am so glad that my other artbook purchases are pleasing.

I do male nude or partially nude art from time to time in charcoal, carbon, and graphite drawings. This book shows the general outlines of the male figure and does minimally address shading. However, it doesn't deal sufficiently with the play of the light on the male figure or realistic and/or dramatic shading of the figure, at least not to meet my needs. It could be I'm still too much of an amateur, but I need more how-to's. However, I am glad I bought it, but just wish it went further than it does.

Kinda boring actually, no offense to the author I am sure they tried but after looking at a few pages one really doesn't get anything out of it.

It’s a fine book but REALLY dated and sadly unsexy with kind of uninteresting poses. How-to books need to be amazing to be useful in the YouTube era, and this one sadly should have been left behind 20 years ago.

I am an artist and was looking for a book on the male nude these books are not easy to find as most books are of the female form .This book is one for my bookshelf an ideal resource book

Great for visual reference but lacks step-to-step explanations. This book is definitely not for beginners but for experienced artists who wants to use it as reference to correct body shape and proportions.

This item was as described and arrived on schedule. Great product. purchased for my partner who is a artist and he is very happy with this as collecting all books by this author. He says it is great for progressing as a Artist.
