Great little blue tooth speaker. If expecting a full spectrum of sound with deep thick base, this fellow will let you down. But if looking for something that communicate the music, or Whatever it is you choose to enjoy, clearly and cleanly, this little guy is awesome! Indoors, the sound quality definitely improves due to less ambient noise and open space to absorb the low end. The lows hit harder and the overall sound comes to life. Outdoors, you definitely hear a difference but the quality is still excellent. Especially for the size. If you set the speaker against or a short distance from a wall or flat surface (big or small) while outside, you significantly improve the thickness of the sound and it really helps to project the sound even further. Over all, I really enjoy the JBL Flip 4. Only regret is not buying the case/speaker combo. Really want one of those cases. :) I highly recommend If looking for something small, light, portable, easy to connect, great battery life, and great sound qualifty for the price... hells ya!

I've got two. One for home and one for work. Absolutely love them. Haven't had any problems with them. Highly recommend. Use the home one even outside when I'm doing a diy project linked to my phone.

Name brand and does well. Not cracks sound but very loud. Size is wonderfully packed and looks good. Easy to setup and connect.

I’ve taken this thing every where. The battery life at half volume it around 10-12 hrs. Full volume which fills a room lasts about 2-4 hrs. It’s been dumped in a pool and lives up to its waterproof rating. It connects to your phone automatically if it’s the last one connected. Easily connects to other friends phones with the button. I’ve bought 2 more of these speakers to sync them together. It creates a surround sound music experience that I’ve taken with me on all my adventures. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I’ll never forget listening to music with all my friends with this and all my other jbl speakers.

This was a lot better sounding than the other bluetooth speakers I bought. I am still not satisfied with the sound. It doesn't have amazing bass, but it is not lacking the bass frequency. The bass just distorts or is muddy sounding at times. The mids and treble are good, but I'm not expecting stellar quality from something this price. They can distort too at louder volumes. My main use for this is outside. I need a speaker to jump rope to and my Ipad Pro--though loud enough for indoor use--wasn't really cutting it for outdoor use. Couple in the factors of a windy day, or cars driving down the road or my driveway, I needed something loud enough to compete with those things. This does a great job as far as loudness goes. This is heavier than I thought, but I don't care about weight for my use of it. It has a strap which helps me a lot to move it while hands are full. Perhaps I'm too harsh, but I like audio and have some nice headphones and have had a few good sound systems that may have cost more than a car... but anyhow, I'm setting expectations of this to that level. I think this is going to be a solid buy for most people. Edit: I returned this and purchased the Sony SRSXB30. I bought the Sony in blue as well, not because I like the color more, but because the price has been consistently in the low $70s. At that price, the Flip 4 can't compete. I'm not sure the JBL Charge 3/4 was even on the same level of sound quality. I liked the SRSXB30 so much I bought another and now I have what I'm looking for, stereo sound from bluetooth speakers for about $140.

Sounds great! I needed something better than those little speakers I got from the bargain bin at Staples. This is exactly what I needed, every song sounds great 3 Month Update: Still sounds great - I wish it didn't constantly have the LED light on while it was on. Battery life is good for what it is, but not outstanding. I've never let the battery die, but after 4 40 minute sessions it saws the battery is half empty when I put it on the charger. the LED is too bright while trying to listen to an audiobook in bed. It turns off IMMEDIATELY when you press the power button. I love that.

This little JBL Flip 4 seriously rocks. The highs, mid-range, and bass on this little dude are unbelievable. Long story short, I’ve owned many Bose mini Bluetooth speakers over the past 10+ years, and I am now a serious JBL Flip 4 fan. If you want a small, cool looking Bluetooth speaker that sounds incredible, I highly recommend the JBL Flip 4. Be sure to get a case to protect your Flip4. I bought one that looks like a cylinder that zips 270 deg. around the case, and the Flip 4 fits nice and snug, with room for the charging cable and a USB charger plug. GREAT PURCHASE!!!!
