A friend suggested these after I had surgery. The price and reviews had me skeptical but bc I wanted the best recovery possible I decided to try it. The price is worth it, period. The actual flavors aren’t bad at all. It does have a bizarre medicinal flavor that I just can’t describe but it’s really not that bad. I will say that if you’re going to squeeze the packet into your mouth you need to allow the little puff of air out before putting it to your mouth. That air holds the majority of the weird flavor. If you are not used to these types of products please consider mixing it with water or take them every other day and get used to it. It contains collagen which has always made my stomach hurt/gassy. I did not do homework and learned this the hard way. I do not mix it with water but I drink a glass of water afterwards and it works for me. As for post op recovery I will say that I do think it has helped (tendon repair). The numbness, tightness and general pain decreased significantly and the only thing that remotely bothers me is the incision which is normally healing.

This is a great source of protein. I find that the protein bars and the protein drinks sometime don't agree with my stomach. This protein is easily digestible and light. I mix it with juice or water and it's perfect. I actually prefer to mix it with juice as a little treat. I recommend this for those who are ill or those who need a certain amount of protein a day. As far as the flavor goes the mango is my favorite. The other flavors mix well with juice and are tolerable.

Edit: I am adding a star after ordering a second package. As awful as these are, they do the job AND price wise, they’re some of the cheapest protein packs you can get. The different ones I wanted to try were nearly 2X the cost, so I’m sticking with these even if they make me gag. HORRIBLE taste and texture. I find putting it on a spoon or cutting the whole top off to take it like a shot is the easiest way to get it down, followed by something less offensive. It’s a really weird and thick consistency and I have to take it in 3-4 goes which makes it harder to take because it is revolting. That being said, it’s definitely helping me feel fuller longer when I take it with my breakfast, so it’s just a trade off of a brief moment of disgust vs if you want the protein. I think I’ll try to find a more watery option.

This LiquaGel Protein Packets are so convenient and I feel that I am doing a good thing with the liquid protein. The taste of each one is tasty and that is why I continue to purchase them. Being sugar free is why I continue to use these. I like them in my tea and coffee. The packaging is packed well and the different flavors are a positive addition to my current daily intake of trying to eliminate sugar. It has helped me and I look forward to continue using this product.

They don't taste the best but get the job done for protein intake
