I have a 135w lenovo charger. will this still work and be safe so long as the usb-c side device, a macbook, does not exceed 65 watts?

This product is stated as being compatible up to a max of 65 watts, however; right underneath that, it states 20v @ 2.25A, which is only 45 watts?

Indeed, my laptop has complained of "slow charging" when I use this adapter. However, it's sufficient to keep the laptop charged when I use it plugged in.
